56. Logan

To honor Christina Grimmie, I decided to put one song/cover of her that resembles this chapter on top of it. I still can't believe she isn't here anymore. 

56. Logan

I hadn't seen Axelle for the rest of the afternoon. I think she needed some time to think about everything and I wanted to give her some privacy to do that. I didn't want to give her the feeling that she needed to decide immediately. If she wanted to talk about it, she could come to me. It took a lot of strength to keep her out of my thoughts. I couldn't stop thinking about her. I hoped that my work could help me to think about something else.

After I went to Jack, to see the training of the teenagers, I also worked out. It seemed like a long time since I had last been in my wolf form. It was already dark, when I was back in the pack. My wolf wanted to run some more. He didn't want to stop. Maybe it was a good idea to run together with Axelle. It was also for her a long time since her last shift.

I came out of the bathroom, after a long shower, when I saw Oliver, to my own surprise, coming out of our bedroom. I didn't expect him to do that. He hadn't been able to hide all his thoughts about Axelle, so I knew that, sometimes, her behaviour irritated him a little bit. Like everyone, he needed some time to get used to her. I just gave him some time. In a few weeks, he would see her as his Luna and as a friend. Now he had, like a lot of other pack members, some doubts about her.

A few seconds, I thought about going after him. To ask him why he had talked with Axelle, but the biggest part of me wanted to go to Axelle myself. I had been a hard time to be gone for a few hours and I didn't want to make it any longer for myself. I went to the bedroom and slowly opened the door.

She was sitting on the bed. Her notebook on her lap and she was busy with writing something. She stopped for a second, put the pen in her mouth and bit on it. She was clearly deep in thoughts. I gave me some time to look at her. She was kind of cute when she was sitting this way.

She spotted me in the doorway and slowly looked at me. A smile appeared on her face. " You have been gone for long " She said. I went towards the bed and gave her a kiss, before I sat down next to her. She put the notebook on her nightstand. " Are you organising something? " I asked her. The previous time I saw it, she used it for the fair. And at that time, she had also been busy with writing.

She shook her head, while laughing. " I'm just writing some things down " She said. I raised my eyebrow and looked at her with a confused expression. I hadn't already seen this side of her. She saw my confusion. " I talk with Oliver and he just made me think about some things " I chuckled. I knew indeed that she had talked with Oliver. " I didn't knew that Oliver could make such an impression on you " I said to her. She shrugged. " He just explained some things to me and I'm writing some things down. So, when I'm having seconds thoughts, I can read it and I know that I lied to myself again. " You could clearly see proud in her eyes. They were shining a bit.

" But it's my turn to shower " She kissed my cheek and run out of the bedroom. I took the opportunity to grab her notebook. On the first few pages, she was talking about the fair. Like I suspected. A little bit more behind, was the surprise. Sweet and strong was written. Followed by Stronger than you think. A little bit further the inside is more important. And the last thing was his perfect Axelle. She had underlined the ' his ', so I knew she was speaking about me.

Had Oliver explained her how much she meant to me? Was she doubting herself? Did she think that she wasn't worthy of me? I put the notebook back on her nightstand and waited for her to return. I wanted to know what she was thinking, because I didn't want her to be unhappy. My wolf was already panicking when he thought about her being unhappy, so I needed to know how Axelle was feeling.
