He was clearly happy for himself that he was able to keep something a secret.

Logan had chosen a spot near the lake, where we swim the previous time. He put the basket on the grass and put a blanket down, before I sat down. " Maybe we can go on a picnic with the four of us, when we get home " My head rested on his shoulder. " Five , Axelle " He chuckled. Five? Us two, Jack and Oliver was four, right? " Hasn't Jack told you anything? He has found his mate a week before I found you. You two are almost the same each. " I looked at him with open mound. I couldn't believe that Jack hadn't told me anything. " Maybe he wanted to keep it a secret. They are taking this slow. "

" We need to go home " he said suddenly. He stood upright and grabbed our stuff. " Why? What happened? " He grabbed my hand en we ran to the house.

Back in the house, he packed our stuff and put them in the car. It was then that he told me what happened. " Jack need help with Oliver. Something happened in the pack, but he didn't want to tell me what happened through the mindlink. He said it was something important. " We needed to be a little patient before we would know what happened, but if Jack said that it was important, it would be really important. He wouldn't disturb us for nothing.

Jack was already waiting for us when we arrived at the pack. As soon as Logan had parked the car, he came towards us. " What happened? " Of course, Logan wanted to know everything immediately. He was as curious as me. " Oliver found his mate. " It didn't sound like something really important. I was really happy for Oliver. Now, I didn't need to go on a trip with him to help him find his mate. " But there are some problems. "

Jack turned around and started to walk to our house. In the meanwhile, he told us what happened. " Oliver and I were called by the guards. One of them was missing and after some searching, we found him. Murdered. " I felt goosebumps on my arms. Logan put his arm around me and pulled me closer. He sensed that I didn't like that word.

" We followed the smell of the murderer. Oliver was the whole time talking about smelling something weird. Something nice. He thought that his mate was close by, what happened to be, but she wasn't only his mate, but also the know who killed the guard. She's a rogue and she wanted to pass our pack. The guard stopped her and you can guess the rest. " I didn't know who I felt sorry for. For Oliver, because his mate killed someone. For the guard, because he was dead. Or for the girl, because she was a rogue.

" Like we agreed, we locked her with the other rogues in a cell. Oliver went nuts when we took her and we chained him in the basement. " It was on that moment that I realised that we were going to the basement. I could already hear Oliver shouting. We went downstairs. Oliver looked tired. He clearly had tried to free himself, but it didn't work.

" Oliver ... If you calm down, you can go to see her. " Logan's words worked immediately. " I want to ask her some questions first, but after that you can see her. If I liked her answers, she is free to go, but you need to understand that she killed something. We can't forget that. " Oliver nodded slowly, before Jack released him.

We went to the cells. It was the first time I came back, after Logan had took me from here. I didn't want to go back, but needed to do it for Oliver. Jack stopped Oliver when we arrived at the cell. " Think of what I told you " Logan said to him. He tried to remember him of the fact that she could be free after she talked to Logan. Oliver didn't move or didn't say anything.

The door went open and Logan and I went inside. On the bed was a girl, the same age as me. Her jeans was torn and she had some small wounds. Otherwise, she was looking very beautiful and healthy. " Why did you kill the guard? " And again, Logan went straight to business. The girl was looking really scared. She knew she did something wrong. " I just wanted to cross the border. I ran away from my previous pack, because they treated me badly. I was an omega. I hoped that I could have a better life, somewhere else, but the guard stopped me. He wanted ... He didn't ask me what I was doing, or where I was going. He just grabbed me. I didn't know what to do. I don't remember what happened after that. "

She was clearly feeling guilty. I could see it in her eyes. " Did you scare him? " She was talking about Oliver. She thought that he didn't want her anymore. If she had know how he was shouting, some moments ago. " Of course not. He's waiting outside. He can't wait till he's able to meet you " A small smile appeared on her face. " Come. We will take you to him " I said. I know that Logan wanted to keep her here, but I had made my decision. She needed help and I was going to be that help. As soon as we left the cell, we went home. Oliver had apparently got a breakdown. That was the reason, why they left. They didn't want that he hurt himself and so they brought him back to our house.

The girl stepped, slowly, to the living room. As soon as Oliver spotted her, he turned his head towards her and looked at her. The two looked at each other, without saying something. Oliver was the first to move. He walked towards her and wrapped his arms around her, before he pushed her against him. " Give them some privacy " I mumbled to Jack and Logan, who were staring at them. I pushed them up the stairs. Later, we would know how it went between his two, but now it was better if the got to know each other first.
