Roderich was fuming. "That is your problem! What if I do decide to call the police on you?! You'd be sent to prison for your abusive behaviour! Then who'd take your place?! You'd have to sell be company!"

"Yes, but you won't tattle. Because then my sister would take you out of school."

Roderich was ready to throw his phone out the window. "What makes you think I won't?! I don't care if I get taken out of school, at least I won't have to be around you!"

"Don't you got a girlfriend or somethin? You got my pretty face, you should be pretty popular, yeah?"

"No, I don't have s girlfriend! Why would I want one?!"

"Oh come on, I was your age once, don't think you can fool me. You're horny as fuck. You got any side hoes?"

"N-no! I don't need any!"

"What the fuck? Of course you do, who do you have sex with then?"

"Gilbert!"

"What?" He pulled out his headphones, a confused look on his face.

Roderich pulled away from the phone, sighing. "I'm talking to my father about you, okay? He thinks I'm straight. Which is half true, but still."

"Oh." He put his headphones back in.

"Gilbert? That's a weird name. She got nice tits?"

"Father, Gilbert is a male."

His father went silent for a moment, and Roderich had to check that he hadn't been hung up on.

"I knew it. My sons a fag." He sounded more disappointed than angry. "And here I thought you had potential."

"I do have potential. Just not in your eyes."

His father went silent once more. "I'll pay for your education, but don't expect to get mentioned in my will. You aren't getting the company."

"I didn't want it to begin with." Roderich growled. "And despite what you want, I'm not going to become an engineer. I'm going to be a nurse."

His father sighed. "Don't expect me to be at your graduation."

Roderich hung up the phone, his eyes stinging.

Gilbert pulled out his headphones again, eyeing Roderich with a worried and suspicious sort of expression. "Are you okay?"

Roderich chuckled slightly. "No."

Gilbert put his phone down on his bed, walking across the room to Roderichs bed, pulling him down and into the pillows. "Let's sleep."

"Like... Sex?"

"I didn't say fuck. I said sleep. Close your pretty ass eyes, get comfy and fall asleep."

Roderich couldn't help but smile, the tears forming and running down his cheek. He snuggled into Gilbert's warm side, closing his eyes and breathing in the familiar scent of Gilbert,  which was basically just too much cologne to cover up the fact he hasn't showered in weeks with a strange almost unrecognizable tinge to it, like leather or dogs.

Gilbert nuzzled his face into Roderichs hair, enveloped by the sweet smell of metal and wood, candle wax and baked goods, old paper and edelweiss. He loved the smell Roderich always seemed to give off. So many different things blending together to make something wonderful. He wasn't sure how, but Roderich smelled like sunshine, giving off a constant warm glow.

"Screw your dad. Let's pretend we're orphans." Gilbert murmured, and Roderich couldn't help but smile.

Instead of saying anything, Roderich just pulled his face out of Gilbert's side, reaching up and giving him a small kiss on the forehead before hiding in his side again. He ran his hands up an down Gilbert's bare chest, tracing his contours and muscles.
