Chp 120 - Percy's POV

SATURDAY

Percy woke up from a nice dream with his mother yelling from the kitchen.

"PEEEETEEER!!"

What is it!? A thief?

A monster?

A rat?

Percy bolted from the bed and ran to his mom, but stopped short when she found her in the living room with a hand pointing to the door.

"Out!"

"Uh, what?"

"I said, out!"

"What did I do?"

His mom pointed to her couch, which had a piece bitten off.

Oh...

...great.

"You didn't take Mrs. O'Leary for a walk! You know how she gets anxious to stay indoors for so long. So... OUT!"

"Just let me get change and I will, I promise."

"Oh, come on, not again!"

Percy tried to pull her leash, but she wouldn't budge, sniffing everything.

We're never getting to the park this way.

I'm thinking I should have brought another coat.

Why?

Because at this rate, we'll be outside until night.

That is what I just said.

"NO! Mrs. O'Leary, you'll NOT pee in this hotel's doormat!"

This is a very fancy hotel.

"Bad girl! Come! Cooome!"

Plan B! Whistle!

Percy gave his highest whistle.

Amazing, I was trying to choke her, and she didn't mind. I whistle and she gets interested.

"Good girl. Now, how about we..."

Percy was tackled to the ground, which made him let go of her leash and Mrs. O'Leary bound happy to the doormat. Before Percy could get up and retrieve his dog, someone screamed in his ear.

"Peeeeeterrr!"

Wait a second...

No way...

Percy put some distance between him and the guy that tackled him so he could see his face.

Really!? GREGOR? What is he doing here!?

"Wait. G-man? What are you doing here?"

Gregor, still on the ground, pointed with his chin to the hotel.

"I came here for a meeting."

"A meeting?"

He nodded, sitting more comfortably on the sidewalk.

"Uhum. Remember that NGO I worked on when we met?"

Percy adjusted himself too.

"Yes."

We probably look like two crazies sitting on the sidewalk to talk.
