A/N: This chapter is to the fandom members who think ANYTHING should get treated with ambrosia and nectar. (I didn't revise it, so expect anything)

MONDAY, 30th January

"Since I see both you and Jason back in school, I'm assuming that girl's issues were partially resolved?"

Piper nodded, shoving another book into her locker.

"Yeah, Mrs. Jones, the counselor, dropped by on Thursday and spoke with her for... maybe an hour and half? She left, Mac- the girl came down, ate with us in silence and went back to her room."

"Is that an improvement?"

As long as she stops throwing up.

"I'm getting there. Mrs. Jones came back Friday, with the school's nurse, I don't remember her name."

"Bridget."

"Right. She left half an hour later, but Mrs. Jones stayed over two hours in that room. Apparently, they used that time to get Mac- the girl in contact with some distant relatives, family friends and things like that. It's too soon to say, but I think her godmother might be an option? They didn't say anything, it was just something in the way she said her godmother's voice that got me thinking. Of course, she's like three states away, so it might not be that easy."

"What about her physical health?"

"I don't know, they didn't tell us anything. You can try to get some info."

Will's lips scrunched and he shook his head, already knowing it would be hard.

"I'll try, though it'll be tricky. And if I do find out something, you know I can't tell you."

"Why not?"

"If, and that's a big if, Bridget tells me something, I cannot gossip about it."

"But-"

He raised a hand to interrupt her, holding her eyes with his.

"Girls, if I can convince her to break her confidentiality, I must offer my own."

"But I want to help her, how can I-"

She was interrupted by the bell and Will patted her shoulder in solidarity.

"You can trust the adults to have that girl's best interests in mind. I don't plan on interfering, it's merely to satiate my own curiosity. Your best option is to ask the girl herself."

"Bridget?"

The nurse looked up from her phone and gave him a warm smile.

"Hi, Will, come in. You're early today."

"Sorry."

"You don't to apologize for coming early!"

"No, not that. I heard you visited that girl on Trish's house."

Her expression quickly morphed into surprise.

"How-"

"Trish told me. And I visited her on Wednesday. And Thursday. Mostly, I was there as a babysitter since Trish had to leave for something. Yes, I know you can't tell me anything specific, that you're bound to confidentiality, but I didn't want your evaluation as a nurse, just a general opinion as a human being."

He could see the nurse was smiling in amusement at his attempts to contour her oath, and allowed him to continue.

"When I saw her on last week she was in a rough shape. I tried to feed her, but it didn't work out. Weak pulse, high concentration of acid in her vomit, shivering and sweating. I was tempted to drag her to a hospital myself, for I feared much more of that and she would be risking a miscarriage. I just want to know if you think she's still in time to make a full recovery."
