The result of the war had been tragic but it seemed that this is what the moon had wanted. To take away the wolves that couldn't repent from the things they have done. Sometimes wolves are born with or raised with mental issues that go with them into adulthood, ive learned. They do cruel things in their lives. The moon watches.. she watches everything. She sees all. She waits.. and wolves reap what they sow.
But why Conrad was taken, I'll never really understand. Yes he had a choice when he was younger.. but he was a good wolf.
From what I've learned, the moon doesnt react kindly to those who have wronged their mates. It makes my wonder if before our time, if the moon goddess was wronged by her mate the way she makes sure the wolves who have wronged, pay for their crimes of the heart.
Light knocking on my room door brought me out of my thoughts. I smiled, smelling the scent of my two friends.
"Come in." My voice was hoarse still.
Eden pushed the door open revealing she and Grace. My brows rose in surprise at seeing her in her red lipstick again and high heeled boots. "Hey guys." I offered a smile, trying to sit up but the pain that radiated from the wound in my chest had me wincing. It was hard to breathe at times but my body was healing. That was good.
"Hey. How are you feeling?" Eden came to sit on the side of my bed while Grace shut the door and took a seat on the chair beside the hospital bed.. her eyes puffy.
