The sweet taste of his lips,
Upon the crease of my neck.
Shudders tear across my skin,
As his hands frame gently around my waist.
He's not one to simply pull on my heartstrings,
Won't leave me crestfallen in the shadows.
He's able to open the door I never knew existed.
Slowly making his way right down to my heart,
A place I forgot I knew how to feel.
He evokes emotion I thought I'd lost forever.
I no longer have to pick petals alone.
He gives me his own light, and I surrender mine to him.
He's become the oxygen I need to breathe,
As without his presence there is no reason to live.
He is the chorus my soul has been yearning for,
And now I can sing along.
Forgive the forgotten,
As I let him in.
And I'm finally able to believe in true love.
