Just Stay, Okay?

Some wounds take time to heal,
Not just the ones on the outside,
Internal scars can still make you cry.
They have a tendency to suddenly
Resurface, still just as sharp,
Every time it's another blade to your heart.
Inside they like to toy with you,
Like some sort of sick game,
They think it's fun to drive you insane.
They don't know how easy it is to hide,
Like how you pull the corners of your lips up into a smile,
You make sure it lasts a while.
It becomes a ritual, a routine,
Remember to brush away your tears like raindrops on a window,
Even when you're hurting you can't let them know.
You may cry and scream for them to go away,
But you're actually begging for them to stay,
So don't run away,
When I need you to stay.
A/N: This was not the type of poem I had in mind when I started writing, but I'm happy with it nonetheless. It's quite a poignant spell, but I think that's what makes it beautiful, My favourite part is the ending, personally. What do you think? Comment your thoughts, and please vote, my amazing readers. :)
