Keeping Me Out

I gaze at you from inside my walls,
See you having the time of your life with her,
With me cut out of your picture.
You gaze at me from the outside,
A place where I tried to belong,
But quickly forced me back into my recluse.
I know you feel guilty,
Try to convince me to join,
But I just can't afford to make a mistake.
It's different for you,
Being so perfect and all.
The pain in your eyes,
That would never understand.
As fun as it looks,
It's better this way.
Against my wish to be with you,
I don't want to throw away,
What little I already have.
Outside the wall it's human,
Inside the wall it's haunting.
All I can do is push you aside,
To let on just a little,
If you decide to stay.
I can't be the one by your side,
All I'll do is hurt you,
Or you'll leave me behind.
A/N: This is made up of three poems I wrote, before I combined them into this. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, but I still wanted to publish it, so here you go. Thanks for reading this update, please vote and/or comment, and have a great day! Keep smiling, Chicas! :)
