You call me your friend,
Yet I fell for your mistakes.
I may have always been by your side,
But friendship is
More than a material closeness. You call me your friend,
Yet it was all a lie.
There was only darkness,
Never was there light. You call me your friend,
Yet you threw that away.
I'm supposed to feel happy,
But now I'm grieving over something,
That never existed anyway. You call me your friend,
Yet I never was.
There isn't a single lie you told,
That you actually regret.
Yet somehow you still expect me,
To simply forgive and forget.
A/N: This was originally going to be my third submission for the Serenity Writers Poetry Contest, but I decided to write a different (and happier) entry. I still liked it though, so I'm sharing it with you fellow wattpadians. I would've published it sooner, but there was a thunderstorm going on earlier and my internet was being really slow. Anyway, hope you enjoyed, click that little gold star if you want to vote, or leave your thoughts down in the comment section. Thanks for reading, byeee!
