The Birthday Continues

A/N: So I hope the video in the media makes up for the lack of fluff in this chapter

The two of us were off as the huskies shot from the snow and bolted down the path

The group of 5 huskies harnessed onto the sled followed a trail that led the two of us through a beautiful forest scenery

"It's so pretty" I say myself

"I know" Yuzu replies

I look up at him and find him looking down at me

I'm not sure if that was a compliment down to me or he really was just agreeing with me, but I smiled anyways

The naked trees glistened with white snow while the air shed flurries. It truly felt like a winter wonderland

"I always thought Toronto got a lot of snow in the winter, but I never knew Quebec could get so much" Yuzu says from behind me

"I love winter. It shows the beauty in the afterlife" I say, not really knowing what I'm saying

We ride in silence for a while 

A comfortable silence, like the kind you would experience to enjoy the moment and capture it in your mind forever

I close my eyes for a minute, relaxing as the husky dogs whisk us away through the snow

Although I know I've been through so much in the past few months, I can't help but appreciate the fact that some good that came out it

There's always a rainbow after the storm

"So Mr and Mrs Haynu, did you enjoy your little toboggan in the snow?" Javi asks teasingly as we're back in the Uber to our new destination

"Javi I may be 20, but you're still 12" I say jokingly 

The three of us were headed to our next destination; the streets of Old Quebec 

"I always wanted to visit Old Quebec" I said as I look out the window and watch the beautiful history of Quebec pass my eyes 

"So how are you enjoying your birthday Charlie-san?" Yuzu asks from beside me

"It's been great so far! I can't thank you guys enough for making this happen" I say back 

"I'm glad you're enjoying your day. We put a lot of effort into planning this for you. I know how hard the past few months have been for you" Yuzu whispers back and I lay my head on his shoulder for the duration of the ride

"Charlie-san, wake up" I hear Yuzu whisper in my ear 

"Hmm..?" I mumble as I move my head up from his shoulder and look out the window. I find that we're in the city

As we head out of the Uber I insist on paying but Javi beats me to it

"Javi! You spent enough money on me for this trip!" I argue, slapping him lightly on the shoulder

"It's ok chicken, you're worth it" Javi winks 

While the three of us walk down the cobble stone streets, I notice something warm and soft in my hands. Looking down, I realize that Yuzu snuck his hand into mine while I slept. 

That sneaky shit

For the next hour and a half we walk around the streets, sight seeing and taking pictures of the statues and murals
