Quad Queen

A/N: YA'LL THOUGHT IT WAS RAINBOWS AND BUTTERFLIES BUT GUESS WHAT HE'S BACK!

The three of us sit in silence for a few seconds after I filled them in on what Keith told me over  the phone. That was until Yuzu decided to break it by speaking up

"Guys, we need to do something. Like, we need to call the cops now" 

"I'm pretty sure they're already doing something about it. Come on, it was a prison riot! They can't just let a Mafia leader and a bunch of fugitives leave without doing something" I try to reason

"I don't care! I don't want him hurting you! I don't need him coming after you. Not after I finally got you" he says reaching out to grab my hand 

"Yuzu-kun, we can't do anything about it. It's not up to us to stop him. We have to trust in the police this time" 

"Charlie-chan, what has the police done for us last time?! It took us days to get them to do something. Too many people died before he was finally put in jail and now he's back. Can't Keith do anything?" he says frustrated

I can see the tears forming in his eyes and some manage to fall out 

And I myself can't help my cry as well 

"Yuzu-kun, he's doing his best. I told you he's keeping a look out for him. Until then, all we can do is focus on the free skate" I say trying to convince him 

"I can't lose you Charlotte" he whispers making the tears in my eyes rush down my cheeks even faster 

He never calls me Charlotte

"Yuzuru, you need to trust me. After the Grand Prix Final, we'll do something about it. I promise"I tell him 

"Charlie, you don't need to be a hero right now" Javi adds joining into our emotional conversation 

"Javi, I do. We all do. We fought hard to make it here and I'm not going to let Romano stop us from reaching that podium" I say strictly

I can't afford to let the boys fall with me. Despite my  words, I'm not really strong at all. I just need them to believe I am so they don't break during the competition

And so the three of us sat and ate French take out food with the sound of the Mamma Mia movie playing in the background

The men's free program had just finished and Yuzuru won his 4th consecutive gold medal at the Grand Prix final. Nathan took home the silver, while Shoma placed 3rd. Javi just missed the podium, coming in 4th while Patrick took 5th and Adam placed 6th 

I noticed that Yuzu was focused on something else in his performance this time around. He looked disturbed by something, probably the news of Romano coming back. His performance looked a little stiff at some parts but other than that he still gave it his all to come in first yet again 

All in all, I'm proud of all the guys that competed and now it was time for the ladies free 

I'm standing backstage warming up with Coach, while I wait for the other skaters to finish their programs. Since I placed first in the short, I'm skating last for the free..again
