The Exams

1 week later....

A/N: READ THE AUTHOR'S NOTE AT THE END FOR THE JAPANESE TRANSLATIONS THAT MY DUMBASS FOUND OFF GOOGLE

"So how did it go?" Javi smiles as I open the door to the passenger seat and toss my backpack into the backseat and fitting my crutches into the confined space

"Alright I guess. I'm 100% I failed multiple choice though" I sigh picking up the seatbelt and strapping myself in

"Hey don't worry about it. When in doubt chose C right?" he says starting up the car again and pulling out of the campus

"So are you ready to play for Yuzu?"

"I guess. I'm just really nervous. My performing arts professor isn't the easiest marker" I sigh reaching to the backseat to grab my backpack and pulling out the sheet music for Hope and Legacy

"I honestly don't get how you do it Charlotte. Playing music looks too difficult for me"

"Oh trust me it is. Anyone who says art is bullshit, it bullshit" I laugh

We pull into the parking lot of the Cricket Club where I already spot my performing arts professor's red Honda sitting near the entrance of the building

"Piano's already there right?" I ask worriedly

"Yeah, Coach and I brought it in this morning. Everything should be set"

I nod my head and move to open the door when Javi stops me

"Hey, hey, hey wait for me. Your still in crutches" he says before opening his door and rushing to my side

"Thanks Javi. You're a saviour" I smile

He grabs my backpack while I take my crutches and the two of us head into the Cricket Club. Once inside the rink, I see Yuzu lapping around the rink in his green and blue silk shirt that he wears for his free program. Sitting on the rink benches are Coach and my professor chatting up to each other

"Don't worry Charlotte. Just play the way you normally do. I've heard you play Hope and Legacy plenty of times and you never seize to amaze me" he says patting my back

Javi heads over to Coach by the benches while I head over to the side of the ice, hoping to get Yuzu's attention

"Charlie-chan!" he smiles and skates over to me

"Hey Yuzu-kun. Are you ready?" I ask looking at his disheveled hair that's indicated how much he's been spinning and jumping

"Of course, but this is your exam. The question is, how do you feel?" he asks

"Nervous as always" I tell his trying to play it off cool

"Charlie-chan your a talented girl. There's no need for you feel scared. Remember I'm here skating for you while you play for me" he says wrapping his arms around me

The two of us stand in silence with our arms around each other soaking in each other presence

"Ms. Akagi we do not have all day for you to act all cutesy! Now get to the piano" my professor shouts

"Hya-kko no hāto demo, kimi o aishite iru to iu no wa hyōgen shi tsukusenai" Yuzu whispers into my ear before letting me go

"Anata, totemo hansamu desu ne" I reply with a smile before picking up my crutches and hobbling over to the other side of the rink where the piano sits

I take a seat at the piano bench and set up my sheet music, pressing a few keys on the piano and then looking to Yuzu

Our eyes meet each other and then I remember I'm where I belong. I'm home . I take a deep breath and my fingers begin to hit keys on the piano and Yuzu starts skating his program

Just being at the Cricket Club puts me to ease and hearing the sound of Yuzu's blades cut against the ice helps me relax a little. I look up from the keyboard and look to the bench where Coach sends me a wave and Javi shoots me a goofy face. I'm surrounded by people that make me feel at home and then I realize I have nothing to worry about. The music flows out of me and I feel like I'm one with Yuzuru as he glides effortlessly across the ice like an angel disguised as a man. The music from my piano and the sound of his blades against the ice make the Cricket Club feel alive, like magic from a movie. As I finish up the last few notes of the piece, Yuzu get into his final spin and collectively my song and his performance both come to a stop

Javi and Coach both get up from their seat and clap like madmen while my professor sits still in his seat like he just watched paint dry for a solid three hours....ouch. Either way, I hop out of my seat leaving my crutches behind and go to hug Yuzu who was skating over to me

"Charlie-chan that was amazing!" he laughs as I feel myself melt into his warm embrace. Sweat from his forehead drips onto my nose making burst out laughing

"Yuzu-kun, I think I should be the one praising you!" I giggle

"No one's praising anyone" I hear my professor say

Standing before me was Coach, Javi, and my professor. Sitting in his hands lay my exam grades for this performance...

"So, how did I do?" I ask quietly, trying to sound polite but my nerves were eating me alive

"I would say it was your best performance this year. Well executed, very focused. Either that, or you're just lucky to have a talented boyfriend. 90% will be your midterm grade for this course. See you in class next week Ms. Akagi" the professor says with a completely straight face and walks out of the rink without another word

"You passed!" Coach cheers

"Did you hear that? Talented boyfriend" Yuzu laughs nudging me

"Oh don't be so full of yourself mushroom cut"

A/N:  LOL remember when I used to update daily? BTW for the Japanese part, Yuzu said 'A hundred hearts would be too few to carry all my love for you' and Charlotte said 'You're so handsome.' Again I googled those parts so don't kill me please.

Anyways for further Yuzu news he's bring back Chopin for the third time as his Olympic SP and honestly I'm really excited to see it again. Rumour has it that he's also going for a 4A this season and I'm really hoping he does because if any male skater is gonna do a 4A it's gonna be Yuzu
