*Luke's POV*

So maybe that little stunt I pulled the other day wasn't such a great idea. Brooke won't talk to me, Ashton won't talk to me and I guess he told Mike and Cal too 'cause they won't talk to me. Avery is the only one I have and she won't interact with me at school because of Ashton. Wasn't it enough that I got punched in the jaw?

Now it's Saturday and because everyone's giving me the silent treatment, I've got no plans.

I guess it is kind of my fault. I could've came up with a better way to do all of that instead of doing it in the middle of the school day with a ton of teens watching. It's not like it was a heated argument and things were loud between us, but I could've done without the punch.

After staring up at my ceiling for a while, I finally decided to get up and head downstairs to find something to eat. If I'm gonna be sulking all day, I should at least be eating while I'm doing it.

I went into the kitchen and I'm glad it was empty 'cause I didn't really feel like talking to my family about this. My mum already knows more than she should about my situation, I don't need my whole house knowing.

As I rummaged through the fridge, I couldn't help but think about where Avery's feelings stand. She's the only one talking to me right now but we haven't really talked about that situation since that day. She looked extremely mad at me but she doesn't show it now and that kind of worries me. Is she just pitying me since no one else is talking to me? With the slight chance that she thinks of us more than friends, does she now? I know she's had her doubts about her and Ashton before so I may have a small chance. But it could be gone now because of what I said.

I closed the door with an apple in hand and sat on a stool and took out my phone to call her. I needed to talk to her not because I'm bored, but because I need some sort of confirmation that we may still have a chance together.

"Hello?" She asked after picking up the phone.

"Hey, Avery." I smiled even though I knew she couldn't see me. Just hearing her voice made me happy. "How's it going?"

"Well you know my dad's back in town so how do you think my life's going?"

"Oh, right." I really should've known. "He hasn't touched you, has he?"

"No, not yet at least. But it's whatever, I'll get through it like I usually do. How are things with you? Are Brooke and the guys still giving you the silent treatment?" She asked.

I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair. "Yeah, they are. I can make it up to the guys with no problem but it's Brooke that'll be a challenge. She obviously didn't like that side of me and I don't know what to do since she won't return my calls or texts."

"Maybe instead of doing that you should go over to her place and talk to her face to face. That's the only way to truly connect and sincerely apologize."

"You think so?" I asked.

"I know so. Just go over there and talk to her. I'm sure she'll forgive you, she loves you too much not to." She said.

Hearing her say that Brooke loves me should've made me smile like an idiot or feel something deep within me but they were just words and had no affect on me at all. I'm trying my hardest to reciprocate the feelings but I can't bring myself to feel that way about her 'cause I'm in love with Avery. She's the one that has my heart and she probably will forever because I can't imagine myself ever feeling this way about another girl. She's the one that makes me smile like an idiot when she speaks. She's the one that warms my heart with her smiles. She laughs at my jokes even though I'm not all that funny. She's the one that makes my heart beat a mile a minute. She's the one that I love. She'll always be the one.
