Hiyoshi was leaning on his side, his shirt held up so the nurse can check his torso. It was hard not to blush pink with Ryouko peering closely in a curious way. Annoyed, Hibiki covered her eyes with one hand. "Hey." Ryouko complained. Hiyoshi stifled a smile.

"It's nothing serious. You may experience a bit of muscle pain later, but a simple hot compress can remedy that." The infirmary nurse told them.

Hiyoshi nodded. "I thought so too. Thank you." He sat up and brought his shirt down.

"That's a relief." Ryouko said.

Hiyoshi stood. "I think I should be going now..." He told them.

"Oh." Ryouko said, a bit disappointed. "I was thinking of inviting you to the clubroom. We're having a little afternoon tea as celebration for the end of the freshmen's assessment tests."

"What kind of assessment test?" Hiyoshi asked, curious.

"Just something they need to pass to continue attending club activities. Things were a bit frantic for a while, 'cause if they don't pass, they won't be able to go to the interschool tennis camp." Ryoma answered.

"How about you two? Aren't you first years like them?" Hiyoshi asked, looking at Ryoma and Ryouko.

"We're exceptions. We happen to be the top-scorers among the batch." Ryouko replied with a shrug.

Hiyoshi widened his eyes, impressed. "It's amazing how you can still be such good students while excelling in tennis."

"Nah. I don't study..." Ryouko said smugly. She pointed her thumb at Ryoma behind her. "He does."

"Shut up." Ryoma said, annoyed.

Hibiki snickered. Hiyoshi couldn't help but smile. Ryouko's personality sure was very refreshing.

Ryoma raised his eyebrow. "It's the first time I saw you smile, Wakashi-san."

A bit embarrassed, Hiyoshi struggled to keep his face straight.

"So? Would you join us?" Ryouko asked him.

Hiyoshi contemplated. "Well..." He said thoughtfully.

"Geez... Stop being so hard-to-get. You're a man, aren't you, so just accept the invitation." Hibiki said, wrapping an arm around his shoulder like an older brother would.

"I guess..." Hiyoshi said uncertainly.

They proceeded to the clubroom and saw that all of the Seigaku members were already there.

"Ryouko-san!" The freshmen greeted.

"How did it go?" She asked with a smile.

"I think we'll make it. All of us." Mizuno told her enthusiastically.

"Well, that's quite the confidence... I'm glad." She told them.

The freshmen smiled bashfully. Hiyoshi took note of the atmosphere of the club. It sure was bright and homely. Their coach always meant business so the mood of their club was almost always serious. If it weren't for their seniors striking up jokes and fooling around, he admitted that it would be a bit stuffy. Then again, Hiyoshi had always been the serious type so he didn't have anything to complain about that.

"Hime-chan, Hime-chan... Did you make all of these goodies?" Kikumaru asked.

"I did, senpai." She answered.

"Can you make a separate one? Just for me?" Kikumaru said, blinking his eyes wide like a child.

"Not happening." Hibiki interrupted.
