'Ding dong... Ding dong...'

Mami groaned, turned over and covered her head with a pillow.

'Ding dong...'

"Isn't somebody gonna get that?" Mami said sleepily.

'Ding dong...'

Mami sat up with a grunt. "I'll kill them." She said irritably. She climbed out of bed and walked over to Miyako. The doorbell rang again.

"Just a minute please! We're coming down!" Mami yelled. She looked at her friend who is hugging her pillow tightly. "Miyako... Come on. Let's go down and answer the door."

Miyako groaned and cracked open one eye. "You go. Do you know what time it is? I slept later than you did." She answered sleepily.

"Get up before I drag you out of that mattress." Mami replied in a threatening voice.

Miyako groaned and relented. She sat up. "Go get my slippers." She said as she rubbed her eyes.

Mami kicked Miyako's indoor slippers with large bunny ears protruding from it, letting it slide over towards the foot of her friend's bed. "There. Now let's go."

Mami and Miyako crossed the hall and went to the top of the stairs, yawning and rubbing their eyes.

They had a surprise when they bumped into Sakuno and Tomoka, the latter holding the previous by the wrist. Sakuno's eyes were half-open and she is cradling a pillow with her other hand.

"Looks like I'm not the only one who was forced to get out of bed." Miyako thought, looking at Sakuno. Boy, Mami and Tomoka hated each other's guts but they're practically cut from the same cloth.

"If you were going to get the door, you could've been faster and I wouldn't have to go out of bed." Mami greeted, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Hey, it is not our duty to answer the door. We just got up because the doorbell is too noisy." Tomoka answered, equally hostile.

"Man, this totally ruined my beauty sleep." Mami complained.

"You need 'beauty' to have a beauty sleep. In your case, it's just plain 'sleep'." Tomoka snapped.

A vein throbbed on Mami's temple and she looked annoyed. "You want me to wring your neck this early in the morning?"

"I'd like to see you try." Tomoka said in a challenging tone.

'Ding dong...'

"Guys, the door." Sakuno said sleepily.

"She's right. Let's wrap this up so you can kill each other or pull each other's head off and I can go back to bed." Miyako added.

Tomoka and Mami glared at each other before following their friends who were already climbing down the stairs.

It was Miyako who opened the door. "Yes. How may we help you?" She greeted the person at the door.

"Good morning, miladies." The young man who dropped by the other night to deliver the envelope containing the first event's details smiled at them.

"Good morning, Mister. Sorry about last time." Mami told him, smiling apologetically.

"It's okay, Miss." He replied. "I'm sorry to be intruding at such a time... I just came to give another message from CEO Atobe." He showed them the envelope in his hand.

"Oh. Ryouko-chan, I mean, Ms. Ryouko Fujioka is still asleep." Miyako answered.

"Oh." He said. Mami blinked. For a moment there, she saw his face fall in disappointment. In a mid-second, it disappeared and Mami thought that she was just seeing things.
