When Seigaku arrived, the other teams who participated in the Nationals and Prefecturals were already seated around enormous round tables on the gigantic picnic grove which was the center of the camp site. It was large enough to make six or so tennis courts. One could not help being impressed by how wealthy the Atobe family is. Ryouko however, did not think of it as something special. After all, it was just plain luck to be born in a wealthy family.

They passed the tennis courts before reaching the place of assembly, and they saw the cabins from afar, as well as different obstacle courses and a lot of picturesque man-made lakes. There was no wonder that the place would be a site of business for recreation.

As Seigaku passed by to occupy two large tables situated in the front in between Hyotei and Rikkaidai's tables, the freshmen received glares from some of the unfriendly players, mostly from Higa.

"What are those midgets doing in here?" Hiroshi Chinen said aloud.

"The Seigaku team received special treatment for being the champion. Their whole team is invited. Even those freshmen." Kiyosumi Sengoku of Yamabuki answered. He placed his hands behind his head and whistled. "Ryouko-chan is looking as pretty as always..." He commented, eyeing the dark-haired girl walking behind Seigaku's captain.

The members of the other teams also saw that Seigaku were accompanied by five girls. "What the heck? Are we allowed to bring girls in here-dane?" Shinya Yanagisawa of St. Rudolph voiced out.

"I'm not sure..." Yuta Fuji answered, looking at Ryouko and the other girls. But his stare stayed longer on the dark-haired manager of the team. That match he witnessed was still on his mind. How could a girl play so well as she does?

"Ryouko-san!" Ai Tachibana from the Fudoumine table waved at her.

"What is she doing here?" Tomoka said in a not so friendly manner.

Ryouko received the greeting with a formal bowing of her head. She caught Shinji Ibu's eye. Shinji nodded. She nodded back.

An and Kamio looked knowingly at each other as they saw the gesture. An was grinning at Shinji, her hands under her chin.

"What?" Shinji asked.

"Nothing." An answered, still smiling.

"Koshimae!" Kintaro Tooyama from the Shitenhouji table yelled as he stood up, flailing his limbs in the air as if making an SOS signal to a passing helicopter. A huge grin was plastered on his face. Ryoma ignored him.

"Kintaro, sit down and be quiet ." Shiraishi scolded.

He didn't need scolding. He became quiet after seeing that the Seigaku team had girls with them.

"Shiraishi, does the Seigaku tennis team accept girl players?" He asked.

"What nonsense are you saying?" Kenya Oshitari said. He understood the meaning after seeing the girls.

"What the heck are those bitches doing here?" Koharu Konjiki pouted, his hands over his chest. "This is supposed to be my harem."

"Harem?" Yuuji Hitoji said, sounding devastated. "You're doing it again, Koharu. Does it make you feel better hurting me like this?"

"Hmmph." Koharu said, sounding like a bratty girl.

"Gross." Hikaru Zaizen said. "I can't stand a minute with these two." He added, looking disgusted.

Tezuka payed his respects to the captains of the other teams by bowing as he made eye contact with them. Genichiro Sanada nodded in his direction. He nodded back.

The coaches of the teams were seated on a special table at the front and Tezuka had gone to explain the absence of their coach and the junior members of the team. Arai and the others were disappointed to know that they would be Ryuzaki-sensei's escorts. Of course they tried to not let it show but disappointment was written on their faces. Ryuzaki-sensei felt offended inside.
