"Oh, meat, meat..." Kintarou said excitedly, his mouth hanging open as he looked at the platefuls of grilled pork belly and beef steaks covering almost every space of the buffet table.

Yohei flicked Kintarou's chin to close his unhinged jaw. "Close your mouth. Your drool's gonna come out. Is this the first time you've seen food? You're such a glutton."

Kintarou reached out a hand towards the barbecued chicken as if mesmerized. Unfortunately, Kite was guarding the table and he tapped Kintarou's knuckles with a handfan. "No eating before the event starts." He said unmercifully.

Kite was actually the one who grilled almost half of the meat sitting delightfully in the plates. He used that item (the handfan which is also surprisingly useful as a slapstick) to fan out the flames of the coals, doing so with a somber and serious exression that the Higa members couldn't help snickering right behind his back.

They wondered if Kite, Sanada of Rikkaidai and Tezuka of Seigaku are actually related since they're all as stiff as a flagpole and as boring as a stick.

Kintarou looked up at Kite with teary eyes. "Dame? (I can't?)" He said, looking like a puppy deprived of a bone.

"Be more patient." Kite said.

Kintarou instantly wailed and ran over to Shitenhouji's captain. "Shi~rai~shi! Kite-san is bullying me!" He whined, holding onto the hem of Shiraishi's shirt like a child.

"Kids." Kite muttered and rolled his eyes. He looked at Yohei who arrived with Kintarou.

"Don't look at me. I'm not in the same category as him." Yohei said almost defensively.

"I didn't say anything." Kite pointed out before leaving.

The campers were all starting to crowd over the tables, admiring the tasty-looking food as they returned from their arduous preparations for the bonfire. The result looked promising. At the center of the wide open grounds, piles of lumber were arranged diagonally forming a pyramid with lots of dried wood inside. It stood at an amazing ten feet and just imagining the glorious fire that would erupt from it is already majestic.

At the far left of the impressive structure were more piles of wood that the campers would throw to the pyramid to maintain the fire. According to Atobe, it has to be burning continuously for two hours. It looks like people would be sleeping late that night.

"Oh yeah! Let's party!" Sengoku cheered as he prepared the small consumer fireworks, placing them at a safe distance, and anticipated the fun that will come later.

Inui was checking on the preparations for the grand fireworks display together with the more experienced staff members when all of a sudden, one of the cheeky Fujioka twins, Tetsuya, approached him.

"Yo, Inui-san." He greeted.

Inui was surprised that he knew his name and it took him a second before returning the greeting. "Oh, hello." He stared at him for another second, wondering which one of the twins he is. "How may I help you?"

Tetsuya went to his side. The way he approached him gave Inui chills. Even with the pretty face, he had the aura of a gangster.

"Well, my brother and I heard about you and your data-gathering." Tetsuya said, starting off as he made Inui walk slowly with him, away from the site of the fireworks preparation.

"Chot~to onegai ga arundesukedo... (We have a lit~tle favor to ask of you...)" Tetsuya added, making the word 'little' jump from his lips in a rising and falling intonation.

"Onegai desuka? (A favor?)" Inui said questioningly.

Tetsuya grinned. "Yep. A favor." He said mischievously.
