Chapter 12: Return of the past

Nakita ko ang pagkagulat at pamumula sa mukha ni Kate ng makitang gising na ako.

"Magpapaalam lang sana ako, aalis na kasi ako." She said smiling at me.

"Ha?" Napabangon naman ako sa hinihigaan ko. Ou nga pala, nabanggit niya kagabi.

"Aalis? Teka lang. H-hindi ka ba galit sa akin?" Nahihiyang tanong ko kay Kate. Nginitian lang naman ako nito.

"Of course not, why would I?" Pagkasabi ay bigla niya akong niyakap ng mahigpit at hinalikan sa pisngi.

"Daisuki! Claire-san, till we meet again." Then she smiled at me once again before walking away.

"Wait, you know I don't speak Japanese, don't you?" I asked habang sinusundan siya pababa ng hagdan. There I saw Eunice, smiling at me.

"Good morning gorgeous." Si Eunice.

"Good morning." I replied nang makababa ng hagdan. Nakaupo si Elise habang umiinom ng kape sa lamesa. Nasaan kaya si Chloe?

"I'll go ahead. Nauna na sa kotse sa akin si Kate." Si Eunice ulit tapos ay bumeso sa akin.

"Sige ingat kayo ha?" Pagkasabi ay bumalik na ako agad sa taas. I don't want to be awkward. Nahiga ako ulit sa kama dahil inventor pa ako. I suddenly heard a knock before I dozed off.

"Come in." I answered. Napabangon ako bigla dahil si Elise pala ito. What is she doing here? After what happened yesterday--

"What do you want?" I asked na was ang tingin sa kanya.

"I just wanted to talk to you." Si Elise.

"About what?" Malamig na sagot ko sa kanya.

"Alam kong galit ka sa nasabi ko kagabi." Si Elise ulit na tumabi sa akin ng pagkakaupo sa kama.

"So what? If you cared about that, maybe you should've thought about it first before you said it, am I wrong?" I asked to end this nonsense pep talk, still not looking at her.

"The reason why I am here is because I want to confirm something." Elise with a serious tone na ikinatingin ko naman sa kanya.

"Stop beating around the bush, will you?" Let's get this over with.

"Claire." With that ay hinalikan niya ako ulit! What's this feeling? Why do I.. Why do I feel like a statue again? I feel some butterflies in my stomach. Urg! Claire itulak mo siya. Bakit ayaw gumalaw ng kamay ko.

Her kiss, it looks like I missed it. Ang lambot na labi niya. Di ko na napigilan ang paglaban ng labi ko sa labi niya. No! This is wrong Claire! Humiwalay ako sa pagkaka halik ni Elise and *PAK!*

"I-I'm sorry!" Nabigla ako dahil nasampal ko si Elise.

"I mean no, why the hell did you do that?" I asked giving her a death glare.

"I told you I wanted to confirm something." Elise while holding her cheek na tinamaan ng sampal ko.

"The hell with that! You have the nerve to kiss me with the same lips you used to kiss Kate like literally a month? What is wrong with you?!" I asked with a narrowed brows. Tumayo si Elise at tumingin sa akin.

"You're jealous of Kate, are you?" She coyly asked.

"Wha-- Get the hell out of here!" I asserted.

"I like you Claire and I will do everything para magustuhan mo rin ako." She smiled at me. Naglakad naman siya palabas ng pinto.

"Wait!" I called her back, huminto naman ito na hindi padin lumilingon.

"I'm not into girls so don't waste your time!" I exclaimed. What a lame excuse I know, after everything that happened between us.
