Sang
North sighed and his shoulders slumped forward in defeat. He turned his head to look at me, his eyes sad. "I'm not going to get into trouble, Sang Baby."
I pushed at Victor's arms until he reluctantly set me down on my feet. Mr Blackbourne and North both turned to face me when they saw what I was doing, the others moved and protected their backs from Chet and his group.
"One moment." Mr Blackbourne said in Chet's general direction as the two of them, Kota and Dr Green pulled me a bit down the hallway for some privacy.
The others stayed behind to keep an eye on Chet, who was now spouting off curses towards Mr Blackbourne's because he was being brushed off like some kind of peasant.
If the situation had not been so dire I might have found it a little funny, but...
"Sang, what are you doing?" Dr Green whispered urgently at me, the five of us had formed a little circle of sorts, and he was alternating between scrutinizing me and giving Chet a nasty glare. "You can't just let him get away with this, you deserve to have someone stand up for you."
"Technically, all he really did was scare me." I centered my weight back and forth from one leg to the other. I knew that I was fidgeting and it showed the four of them how nervous I was, but I really wanted the boys to think I was brave. Hopefully they would overlook it.
Kota must have seen though, and grabbed my hand and held it tightly in his. The gesture made me feel a little better.
"When I came around that corner he was touching your ass!" North growled at me. He had taken up a position on Kota's other side and his arms were crossed. He looked like he was in the process of debating the merits of beating up Greg regardless of the game rules.
I needed to control this situation before someone was killed.
"Ok, he touched me a little." I waved my hand in the air as I downplayed how awful Greg's hands had made me feel. I was sure my delayed reaction to this entire ordeal would come back to haunt me later.
