Shard 39

"I-I would appreciate it very much if I could be your boyfriend!" Yuu said as he bowed. My face was still blank. Dude, you better run. I know I haven't told you this but I'm occupied by another man and he's a psycho pass so you better just flee now. 

I sighed. "Yuu, I h-"

"Shina, let's go!" Kaito called. Yuu turned his face towards Kaito. "K-Kaito?! How long were you standing there?" Yuu asked as his face began to turn red. Kaito walked towards me and put his arm around my neck. 

"Sorry, but she's taken already" Kaito said as glared at him. Yuu's eyes widened with shock. He looked at me. "Forget whatever I just said right now, Shina" Yuu said as he smiled. It was fake. I could see him tearing up.

I was dragged away by Kaito. We left the school and started walking. "Why did you do that for?" I asked. "What? You want to cheat on me?" Kaito added. "N-No, but you could've at least let me finish my sentence I was saying!" I exclaimed. Kaito looked at me and stopped walking. I turned around and looked at him. "What do you want now?" I asked. Kaito walked up towards me and rest his head on my shoulder. 

"Oi, bastard! What do you think you're doing?! Get off of me!" I shouted as I started pushing him away. Kaito backed off, eventually. "I left a mark on your neck" Kaito said as he smirked. I smacked my neck in an instant. "The fuck did you just say?!" I shouted. I started rubbing my neck. "What did do that for?!" I asked.

"To prove that you're already taken by someone so others won't attack you" Kaito explained. My face beamed red. How could he say such things with a calm face?! 

Anyways, we walked back to the apartment. This time, we didn't hold hands. What a relief. I went to sleep as soon as I got back. I mean like, after taking a long test and all of that incident happened, what's the best way to celebrate? I laid down on bed and went to sleep.

"Shina, don't cry. I'll be back someday" Yuu said as he tried wiping my tears away. "Yuu-kun, I-I don't want you to leave me and Kaito" I sniffed. "Don't worry. I promise that I won't forget about you guys" Yuu promised. I looked at him and smiled. Yuu's face softened with a blush.

"Shina, let's make a promise" Yuu began. "What promise?" I asked. "That when we grow up, let's get married" Yuu replied. "Married? Why?" I asked. "So we can never get separated ever again!" Yuu explained.  "Yeah! It's a promise!" I agreed as I held out my pinkie. We did the pinkie promise. 

Yuu got in the car with his parents. "Remember the promise, Shina!" Yuu shouted out the window as the car drove away. 

I woke up with sweat all over my forehead. That was the most embarrassing memory piece I had ever dreamed of. I guess I did make a promise like that when Yuu left. My god, this is all messed up now!
