Hey Humans!

Sorry for not posting. Mental health hasn't exactly been on the good side lately. Thanks for sticking with me though.

Thanks,
Q

The sun'll come out tomorrow. Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow there'll be sun.

No matter what, he was there. Whenever you needed help, he was there. Reliable, like the sunrise.

You were walking down the street. You were completely lost. You'd just moved to D.C. and didn't know your way around.

You kept stumbling around, looking up at the buildings and not where you were going.

"Oh sorry!" you cried. You had smashed into a man in a suit.

"It's no big deal. Are you new in town?"

"That obvious?" you chuckled.

He responded with a laugh. "Where are you headed?"

"North street bakery. I'm meeting a friend before work."

"Well, you're not far off. Take a left at the end of the block and keep going and you'll see it on the left."

You sighed with relief. "Thank you so much."

The two of you stood there, trying to avoid eye contact.

"Uh, I'm y/n."

"Aaron," he responded.

"Nice to meet you."

"Likewise."

"Uh, well I- I should go now. Thank you, Aaron."

The sun'll come out tomorrow. Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow there'll be sun.

Later that day you were walking into the FBI building to start your new job as a junior agent.

"You're going to love it here, y/n!" your best friend cheered.

"If you say so, Pen."

Just as you stepped into the office you tripped on your own foot. You braced yourself to hit the ground when someone caught you and helped you up.

"Thank you. I'm so sor- hey!"

Aaron smiled back at you. "So, this is the new job?"

"Y- yeah."

Pen came up from behind you. "You guys know each other?"

"We met earlier this morning," Aaron answered.

The two of you stood there, trying to avoid eye contact.

"I should get to work. Nice seeing you again." You trotted off behind Pen.

"Are you and Hotch a thing?" she pressed.

"Wh- no! We just met!"

"Mmhmm. Give it time."

The sun'll come out tomorrow. Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow there'll be sun.

"Damn it," you mumbled, setting your gun down.

"What's wrong?" Aaron asked.

"They're gonna take my gun away," you whined.

Aaron chuckled. "No, they won't. Relax. You're in charge of the gun. Here, I'll show you."

Aaron spent the next half hour teaching you how to shoot properly.

"Thanks, Hotch."

"Anytime."

The sun'll come out tomorrow. Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow there'll be sun.

You went in as bait but something went wrong. The unsub got the upper hand and took you before you could signal the team for help.

You were being held in some dark, dingy, moldy room. There weren't any windows so you couldn't tell exactly how long you'd been there.

The door creaked open but you didn't look up. You figured it was just the unsub, coming back in to taunt you.

"Y/n?" you heard a familiar voice ask.

Your head shot up.

"Y/n?" he asked again.

"I'm over here!" you stage whispered.

Without a moment lost, Aaron ran over and untied you.

You fell into his arms and cried softly.

"Shh, shh. It's alright. You're okay. I've got you."

Your breathing had just begun to stabilize when you heard Morgan shout.

"HOTCH HE'S COMING FOR YOU!"

Aaron whipped around just in time to see the unsub shoot him.

"AARON!" you screamed. You reached for his gun and fired a kill shot.

"Y/n," Aaron weakly called.

"I'm here, I'm here," you assured, pressing your hand to his chest. "WE NEED A MEDIC!" you yelled, hoping someone heard.

Aaron started coughing up blood.

"Oh God. Oh God, Aaron please!" you begged.

"Tell me a story?" he just barely whispered.

The sun'll come out tomorrow. Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow there'll be sun.

"Okay," you nodded, sniffling a bit. "Okay." You cleared your throat. "The sun loved the Earth. So much so that it decided to make more than the sunrise. It- It decided that every day, one ray of sunshine from the morning sunrise would become a person. A- A person who would be reliable, just like the sun."

Aaron's eyes began to close.

"One day, a sunrise named Aaron was born. The sun knew it created a special one that day. It knew that this- this Aaron was- was gonna do... amazing things. And, the sun knew that this sunrise would save and win the heart of a lost little FBI agent."

Aaron's breathing slowed as the medics came in. They took him from you and loaded him into the ambulance.

You and the rest of the team waited frantically at the hospital.

Hours later, a bloody doctor came out of the OR.

"He made it," he said with a sigh.

The team cried with joy and exchanged hugs.

You stood there, being hugged and patted, thinking one thing...

The sun'll come out tomorrow. Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow there'll be sun.
