"Baby, you need to be on your best behavior, okay? There's gonna be a lot of people here and I can't have you acting up."
Luke nodded and took Michael's hand in his. They were going to the zoo because Luke had been wanting to see the pretty animals for so long.
"I'm not a bad boy, Daddy." Luke spoke softly as they passed a family.
Michael smiled and put his arm around his waist. "I know you're not, you're a good boy, hm?"
Luke nodded but was distracted when he saw the seals. He dropped Michael's hand and ran toward the fence where he saw tons of seals swimming and making noises.
The blond gasped as the seal that was closest to him started making a barking sound.
"He's talking to me, Daddy!"
Michael laughed and put his hands on Luke's waist from behind him as the little continued to watch the seals.
"Let's go see some other animals, okay?"
"Wanna see the polar bears.." Luke mumbled as he wrapped his arm around Michael's.
The couple made their way to the polar bears, making Luke squeal.
"Look at them, Daddy!"
"I see them, Baby." Michael laughed.
"They're so big.." Luke said as he pressed himself up against the fence.
Michael snorted at the joke in his head that Luke wouldn't have understood in his headspace.
He looked up and panicked when Luke wasn't there anymore.
"Shit." Michael whispered when he saw Luke running away to another part of the zoo.
He didn't yell out to Luke to avoid attention, but he began running after him.
Michael sighed and stopped running, slowly coming to a walk when he saw Luke put his hands on top of the fence to get a better look at the penguins.
The older boy went up beside him and watched Luke look at the birds in silence.
"They're so pretty, Daddy."
Michael nodded in agreement as he kept his eyes on Luke.
The blonde had a look of admiration on his face. He almost looked like he was going to cry.
Penguins were Luke's favorite animals for as long as he could remember.
"He waddling towards you, Babes."
Luke sniffled as he watched the small penguin get closer to him before turning around and going back into the water.
Michael hummed and kissed Luke's head. "Let's go look at more animals, okay? We can come back later."
He took the little's hand and walked them towards the tigers.
They had seen so many animals and Luke was beginning to get cranky because he was so tired. The couple began to leave the zoo after Michael stopped at the gift shop to get Luke the biggest stuffed penguin they had.
