Harlita Week: Day 6

...welp, streak has been broken. I repeat...streak has been broken.

The reason for this is because writing everyday has fatigued me to the point I didn't want to write after I finished Ask or Dare.

All I could say is, I would limit myself now for one chapter for every other day since...well...for one, this book has gotten massive ever since I had updated it every single day ever since last month.

It is time for me to take some rests and just recuperate at least a day just to get the right mindset.

Another factor is the Discord chat! They take a lot of my time too...in a good and awesome way! If you want to enter the said Discord Chat, just PM me and I'll send the link!

Anyways, enough with the extremely long author's note that I made long because I wrote more of this, time for more Harlita!

Love Is A Unique Way

"Harley..." The steel elf called to her boyfriend, grabbing his attention. The two were just walking around the park, talking about various amounts of topics while enjoying each other's company.

"Hmm, what is it Lolita?" The magician asked, curious to see what his girlfriend has to say. The steel elf had a down expression, seemingly upset about something.

"...am I unique?" She asked in a down tone as they passed under the cherry blossom tree. The ambience of the park was relaxing and quiet as Harley smiled at the question.

"Of'course you are! What made you to say otherwise?" He said, rather intrigued who ever told his girlfriend that she wasn't unique.

'That person might need some face full of cards in that case.' The magician thought as he was awaiting Lolita's response. The steel elf looked away from him as she was talking.

"Well, the Tanks Association had told me I had to know what stuff do I stand out from the other tanks.." She started, slowing the pace of the walk as she continued. "Besides blocking projectiles, they say I don't really have unique quirks that help in the battle field all that much...despite being blessed by The Patch and all."

The magician frowned. "Well, they are very wrong about that." He replied firmly, making the steel elf look back at him with interest.

"How so? They did make valid points about me... my engage is outclassed by Akai or Hilda... my stun is outclassed by Minotaur who has a better AoE stun...my passive is a lot more worse compared to the likes of Gatot and Grock..." She explained, her face looking even sadder everytime she mentions someone outclassing her in that field. "All I have is my shield...which is useless if the opponent's only have assassins or fighters..."

Harley listened to her claims, frowning at each one of them. The magician knew the steel elf too well, on how she compares to herself to the people around her. She always had small confidence on herself, which means that she usually doesn't defend herself when such person does call her out about something negative about her.

However, he wants to change that. She changed him from being too egosistic of himself to being humble and calm. She changed him to become a better person that he never taught he would be.

Now, he wants to return the favor.

"Nah, that is still wrong." He said firmly with a shook of his head, making the steel elf looked at him with a confused expression. They passed through a sleeping Grock with a kid on top of it's head, tinkering with metals and stuff.

"...what do you mean?" She asked, feeling surprised and shock of her boyfriends words. The magician smiled as he grabbed her left hand tightly as they walk along the park path.

"It doesn't matter if people are better than you...or stronger than you.." He claimed as he stopped at the bridge that they always stay at, the place that they both love. The water gush slowly downstream as schools of small fishes swam along the current. The steel elf looked at him with extreme curiosity reflected on her eyes.

His hand went to caress her cheek as he smiled. "It was always on how you put effort into it. Sure, people maybe better but there is always someone better than you..me and everyone.. there is always someone better than someone." He exclaimed, making Lolita silent before slowly have a grin on her face.

"Geez, where do you get those speeches from? You should apply to become a politician or something." She joked before smiling broadly. "Thanks Harley...you always cheer me up when I'm feeling low.."

Harley cracked a chuckle. "I am your boyfriend after all. That's my job." He exclaimed, making Lolita giggle before kissing him in the lips.

She maybe not unique to others, but she can try hard to find her own unique way.

After all, Harley is always behind her in every step she takes.

A bit of a short yet inspiring one yet again as I fufilled yet another request by @8cmbigfoot!

I know that it maybe too shory after all I did miss a day and all but I want the message to be instantly noticed and not wanted it to be lengthy and all.

After all, a brief yet clear message is better than a long piece of gibberish. xD

But yeah, thank you guys for reading as we close in Harlita week...one more day left..
