Master and Student

"You are doing well... my student." The one eyed magician said with glee as he saw what his student had done. Harley panted as he maintained the fire ring on the training dummy approximately ten seconds before the ring denoted in a series of sparks.

"Phew...was that impressive Master Cyclops?" Harley asked, his face pelted with sweat. Cyclops nodded as he did an eye smile.

"That was very good work Harley. I can see why the Moon Goddess has blessed you." He said as he gestured on a water bottle on top of the table. "Here, drink and replenish your energy."

The young magician nodded as he grabbed the water bottle and started chugging the liquid inside. Once finishing the entire thing, he sighed in relief as he felt quenched from the liquid inside.

"Thank you Master Cyclops." Harley exclaimed with a smile on his face as he turned around to meet the training dummy once more. He sighed as he concentrated his fire powers onto his palms, litting it up as small rings of fire are slowly being formed from nowhere.

Ever since Harley was driven into this dimension from the portal of Dark Guilds, he was looking around the Land of Dawn till he stopped around a building that was filled with magic. When he entered, he saw the place was covered with cosmic magical energy that overwhelmed him and it was Cyclops who did all of that.

At first, the young magician was startled to say the least to see a one eyed magician looking at him with his singular eye. He thought that he had intruded untimely, probably made the magician angry at him or something.

"Er...what are you doing inside my house?" Cyclops asked in a questioning tone. The voice was a bit...weird like it didn't seemed natural. But all in that case, Harley knew that the magician wasn't mad so he slacked off a bit.

"I apologize sir. I was just passing by and I detected huge amounts of magic in the area..." The young magician claimed as he gestured around the room. "Your magic...is out of this world sir..."

He heard the one eyed magician chuckled at his remark. "Well, it is out of this world." Cyclops remarked with an eye smile. "I control various amounts of spacial energies around the galaxy."

Harley's eyes widened at that remark. 'That person... can control space?!' He thought in shock.

"B-but how?" He spluttered out. Cyclops turned around as he hopped up and down, the blue hourglass on his back jiggling a bit.

"This is how I control it." Cyclops exclaimed. "I call it the Starsoul Veil." He added as he raised one of his arms. The hourglass lit up as the energy from it sprang out slowly like air, forming around the hands of the one eyed magician.

Harley looked at it with fascination as the energy swirled with finess... till it turned into a solid, glowing purple ball. Cyclops turned around as the ball started to rotate around his small body.

"That is basically what I can do...and I can see a lot of potential in you young man." The one eyed magician exclaimed, shocking Harley from his sudden proclamation.

"What do you mean sir?!" He exclaimed. Cyclops stared at him, his eye analyzing him as if he was a specimen in a science lab.

"You are blessed by the Moon Goddess... and a very outstanding mage at your age..." The one eyed mage explained, making Harley a lot more surprised and shock by what he is hearing.

'Is he...like an immortal or something...? How does he know a lot about me?' The young magician thought as Cyclops closed his eye.

"...I'll tell you what... If you want, I can teach you a thing or two about enchancing your magic..." He exclaimed proudly. "You have a lot of potential in you and I can't let you slide of your possible power in the future...perhaps greater than mine if you hone your skills to the fullest."

Harley blinked as he processed the fast and rapid sayings of the small magician. He was being offered to become a student of someone...that is tremendously powerful if he already knew who he was at the moment.

'If what he says is true... then...'

Pretty much, he did accept the agreement and both had started to work with each other. Harley had learned about various amounts of magic from the one eyed magician as it wasn't suprising for him to see Cyclops proficient at them too.

After all, controlling a matter of space has huge perks with elemental magic as space has all the elements in them, just with some precise tweaks can find the correct element that the caster is looking for.

After making the ring larger and larger, he shot it at the training dummy, surronding it with the blazing rings. The rings slowly but surely closed in upon the dummy as fiery sparks rained in the room. The two mages paid no heed as they saw the ring had slowly died out.

"Very good. You managed to extend that ring even longer." Cyclops complimented, bringing a smile on the young magician's face.

"Thanks Master Cyclops." He replied as he looked at his watch. His eyes widened.

"Oh shoot! I have to hang out with Lita!" He exclaimed hurriedly as he turned to the one eyed magician. "Thanks for the time sir but I gotta go!"

Cyclops chuckled. "It is okay young man. Go ahead." He answered as Harley left the building with a smile on his face.

Every passing time, he gets stronger to protect that ones he love and someday, he will return home if he can. But for now, he'll just enjoy the company he has and learn more and more everyday from his master.

That is how the Master and Student started and it keeps continuing on and on...

I actually had an Alucard poem prepared but it gotten deleted... well, I tripled the word count in frustration and decided to add more details in the Harlita Arc of the story...which is by the way, Magic and Shield chapter.

Anyways, exams are coming up so updates are going down unless I whipped up and saved some drafts for the upcoming week. But don't you fret! That is also the week where I'll get my Winter Break A.K.A more updates! :D
