I stayed where I was on the ground, looked at the door, and then looked back at him

I stayed where I was on the ground, looked at the door, and then looked back at him.

"Jacob?" I asked. "Wait, let me rephrase that. Grandma?!"

Jacob? Like from Eclipse? Well this is ironic.

And also not at all what I meant.

He shrugged, and gave a sheepish smile, "Yeah. Carson is gonna kill me, you weren't supposed to know my name."

There was a pause.

"Did you just give me another name?"

He frowned. "Crap."

"Nice name," I offered.

"Uh, thanks," He responded.

I took a moment to look around. Right when you walk in, there is a staircase to the right, and a hallway to the left that opened up into a kitchen and living room.

"Follow me," His voice interrupted my thoughts. "To your room."

My brow shot up. My room?

He gestured for me to follow him up the stairs, and I reluctantly walked after him.

"Soooo... lovely home," I continued. "I can only imagine what other types of crime you commit here."

"Haha."

I trudged up the staircase after him, planning steaming insults in my head.

"This way," He said when we reached the top of the stair case.

There were two long halls that steamed from the stairs, and he grabbed my hand to pull me to the one on the left.

I immediately yanked my hand back and held it close to my chest, glaring at him.

"Hands off," My eyes narrowed to slits at him.

He put his hands up in surrender and started walking down the hall.

We stopped at the fourth door down, and he gave me a large, fake smile.

"Welcome to your new home," He announced, and pulled it open.

To my complete surprise, and delight, as soon as the door opened, a girl about my age lunged out and tackled him to the ground.

"AHHHH!" She yelled in fury.

"AHHHH!" He yelled in shock.

"Cool!" I grinned.

The girl knocked him to the ground and sat on his chest, keeping him there.

She then began to beat the crap out of him with her fists, and I took the moment to admire her. Not only was she punching him repeatedly, but she was very pretty.

The girl looked like she embodied summertime, with sun-tanned skin, long, straight blonde hair, and icy blue eyes.

A large grin overtook my face while she sat on top of him, throwing punches at his head.

I decided to join in, and just he as managed to shove her off of him and stand, I jumped on his back.

We fell forwards, me on top, and while he was on the ground I quickly hopped up and drew back my foot to kick him.

Unfortunately, the blondie had the same idea, and when we went to kick him, our feet collided with a lot of force, knocking us both back a step.

She ended up tripping over her own feet, and crashed on the ground inside her room.

Before she could get out agin, the guy jumped to his feet and slammed the door shut.

He panted against the door, breathing heavily, his back to me.

A satisfied smile settled on my face. I enjoyed that immensely.

"What the hell was that?" He gasped.

"Entertaining," I offered.

The guy turned his head around slowly to look at me, and his hat had been pushed up just enough so that I could see the murder in his hazel eyes.

I flashed an innocent smile, which made his eyes darken.

He grabbed me by the arm, opened the door across from hers, and threw me in roughly.

"HEY!" I shouted indignantly, but he just shut the door, cutting off my protests.

"The nerve of that guy," I growled lowly. Ugh.

Instead of yelling curses at every piece of furniture in the room, I began to search around for anything useful.

There were two windows. I walked over to one and gave it an experimental yank. To my delight, it slid open! However, when I looked down, I saw that the fall was a long one, and I would land right on a rock walkway.

"Stupid window," I cursed.

I went to check the drawers of the dresser, but they were all empty.

"Stupid drawers," I cursed again.

Things were not looking up for me, so I had to do something.

And that something was make a plan.

Actually, I was kinda tired.

So, I hopped on the bed and fell asleep, because I needed all the energy I could get.

~~~
I woke up to find myself on the floor.
Huh.
I always woke up in weird places.
While it was still dark outside, I slid a bobby pin out of my hair, and I dug my fingers into my pocket to pull out a paper clip.
Thank the lord I had an extra from my calculus packet!
This might be the only thing I took away from calculus that has helped me in real life.
Haha, screw calculus!
After straightening the paper clip, I folded it in half and bent it into an L shape.
Then, I slid them into into doorknob, and began twisting it counter clockwise.
After a bit, I heard a click.
Yes.
Thug hacks to the rescue!
I opened the door slowly, not making any noise.
Then I tip toed across the hall to where I knew the beach girl was.
Time to get the heck out of here.
