Adolescence - Draco Malfoy x Reader

This one shot is about Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter which of course I didn't own. I hope you'll enjoy this.

(Y/n) P.O.V.

Nobody said being 16 years would have been easy. But I never thought it would have been soo hard...

Being Gryffindor, one of Harry Potter's friends and in love with a Slytherin.

I was basically the only Gryffindor who Draco talked to in a nice way. I didn't even know why... Maybe because the Sorting Hat took years to decide in which House to sort me because he was undecided between Gryffindor and Slytherin.

That was a kind of Romeo and Juliet story, but in a simple friendly way: my friends were angry with me when K talked and laughed with him, and his ones blamed him. But I didn't care, we didn't care. After all we weren't breaking any rule.

-Don't tell anyone but I'm so glad they broke up- Hermione told me as we were walking through the corridors heading to potion's class.

-I won't tell anyone, after all it's pretty clear.... And I'm happy for you too- I said. She was one of my real friends and even thought she didn't like me being friend with Draco, she wasn't against our friendship like Harry, Ron and most of the others Gryffindor were.

-You're thinking how you would feel if you were me, aren't you?- She asked me, she was the only one who knew about the whole truth.

-Yup- And I didn't cover  -And there he is...- I said when we got to the potion class. Even if professor Snape wasn't teaching us potions anymore that was still the time of the day when we could be together the most -Sorry Hermione...- I said sadly. I was sorry to leave her to be with Draco, but after all she had Ron and Harry.

-Don't worry- She smiled, I knew it was really alright.

-Hi Draco- I said trying to smiling as Hermione did.

-Oh hi, (y/n)- I noticed it, I noticed that he was down, he had been this way since the start of the sixth year.

-What's wrong?- I asked him, everytime I asked me and he would just avoid me or answer me with a fake 'nothing'. But I didn't give up, being Gryffindor I was really stubborn.

He opened his mounth to say something but then the professor enetered the room and started the lesson. He wanted to say something. But he didn't. He kept quiet the whole lesson..

-Why are you still talking with him? I seriously think that he's a death eater- Harry told me in the common room while chatting with Hermione and Ron as well. This wasn't the first time we had a conversation like that. I would simply avoid him.

The next day I saw Draco walking alone in the school, he looked worried and he didn't even notice me when I walked past him. During lunch I zoned out. I was sitting near Harry who was talking with Hermione and Rom about how he broke up with Lavander.

-Hey Harry, it's Katy! Katy Bell!- Hermione told him noticing the girl in the main hall. He got up and went to talk to her. We couldn't understand what he was saying but when he turned to go back he starting at someone, I followed his gaze to find a really scared Draco. He started running away in the opposited direction but Harry followed him.

-This isn't going in end in a good way- I said, now I was worried as well. I didn't want those two to start a fight but I understood they did end up like that when I heard theeir voices screaming curses and spells. I tried to follow them and I arrived to the boys bathroom.

In a first moment I hesitated but then I decided I didn't girl and I shouldn't have go there.

-Sectum Sempra!- This was Harry's voice, the first thing I heard as soon as I step in the room. The I saw Draco falling on the ground, bleeding.

-Draco!?- I ran to his side, his eyes were wide open and he seemed terrified -What have you done Harry? Was this the righr situation to use a spell like that!?- He just stood there, looking at me, and then at Draco.

Someone else had arrived, it was professor Snape, he looked first at Harry and then at me and Draco -Get away- He told me, I understood that he knew what to do, so I did as he said. He started saying spells and Dracocs blood went back into his body, until he fall asleep -Get out of here- He then said to both me and Harry -I'll take care of him-

Walking towards our common room with Harry after what had just happened was not simply a bit awkward, it was really awkward.

-(y/n), I didn't mean to hurt him like that- Harry said after a long while. I didn't respond. I started walking faster. I was really worried, even if Draco looked like he was fine now. When I arrived at the common room I closed the door before he could step in too.

-What the bloody hell happened? When heard that there has been an incident in the boys bathroom, do you know something about that?- Ron asked me. Like I did with Harry I ignired him -Hey (y/n), are you okay?-

-Leave me alone- I almost yelled. Ron and all the others were staring at me but I simply went to the girls dorm not looking at any of them.

There I found Hermione, she knew, with her I could be myself.

-(y/n)? What happened? You look so sad.... And angry- She noticed it. I could start crying. And I did.

-He's in infirmary now. Harry hurt him. I thought he was going to die- I said sitting on my bed. She sat next to me and I explained her the whole story.

Harry looked devastated too when we got in the common room. I appreciated that he regretted what he did, but I kept on avoiding him. All I wanted to do was to go to the infirmary and talk to Draco. Get to know what was bothering him and that I cared about him so much.

When I reached the door I suddenly became anxious, I claimed all the courage I had and I step in. I saw Draco, he was awake abd staring outside the window. It was raining.

-Hey Draco... How are you?- I asked nervously sitting on a chair next to his bed.

-Fine-He didn't even turn to look at me, so I took the chair and moved it until I faced him, he tried to look to the opposite direction but I cut him off.

-I said, how are you?- He stared at me, like he didn't understand what I was talking about -You can't fake with me Draco Malfoy. I noticed that you've been acting differently since the beginning of this school year. I want to help you. Do you need someone to talk to about this?- I said all at once. And he was surprised. After a while he looked at the ground and nodded.

-But.... I'm afraid you will hate me if I tell you- He said, and that was the stupidest thing I heard from him.

-I won't. I know I won't- I reacted instantly.

-I'm...- He looked around like to see if there was someone else -I'm a ... Death Eater...- His eyes were full of grief. This surprised me but I wasn't scared of him.

-Did you really think I would hate you because of that...?-

-You don't....?- He seemed more surprised than me.

-Listen... This doesn't mean anything. You still have time. It's not too late if this is what you've been thinking for this whole time- His face said that he was -And no, I won't ever hate the person I love- And here he became even more surprised. And I did the same because I didn't expect me to say it, right there right in that moment. But the he smiled.

-I'm glad, because I feel the same way-
