Crazy Best Friends - Juzou Suzuya x Reader

This one shot is about Juzou Suzuya from Tokyo Ghoul which of course I didn't own. I hope you'lll enjoy this.

-There once upon a squirrel. It was a cute red squirrel. He used to live in the mountains betweens trees and flowers-I was saying this out loud, while walking throught Tokyo. People were starinf at me. But I didn't care. I was having fun actually -As you may know the red squirrels lived in the south while the brown squirrels lived in the north. They lived in peace. But one day...- As I entered in the huge building I started talking louder -The brown squirrels left the north, they wanted to know new places. Maybe a little too much. The browns squirrels didn't want to go back, and they were faster and stronger than the red ones. The brown squirrels took all the food leavinf nothing to the red ones, they started to die one by one. What will happen to the last red squirrel?-

-Good question- I heard my best friend's voice. Everyone consideres him my boyfriend, and sometimes he acted like a boyfriend as well. And I liked that -The answers could be multiple. Even if it's an animal he still has a brain, he would probably miss his family and become stronger and defeat all the brown squirrels as a revange. Or he could also want to die to be with his family again- He was sitting not really looking at me butnin that moment he turned facing him -What would you do if you were the cute little red squirrel?-

-I would kill al the others squirrels, or I would die trying. If I succeeded then I would kill myself- I said it like it was the most obvious thing -I wouldn't stand keep on living without my family and friends- He got up and we started heading to the meeting with other doves. We had to prepare an attack to ghouls -Isn't this what we're trying to do?-

-But do you know if your parents and friends, the squirrels ones, would be happy if you died?- I didn't expect these words from him, so I didn't answer -I think they wouldn't, because if I was your dead squirrel boyfriend I would have wanted you to live-

-Dead squirrel boyfriend?- I asked him laughing and confused.

-Yup- He answered smiling -I can act like a squirrel and I will be your boyfriend! I just hope not to die anytime soon!-

-My boyfriend huh?- At first I was happy with him saying this, but then I realized that he was talking about it like if ot was just a huge simple game to him. And I didn't want this -Don't joke about love, Juuzo..- I said walking faster -Come on, we have a meeting, don't we?- I noticed that he wasn't following me but in that moment being alone is all I cared about. I arrived at the meeting's room and I sat exhausted.

-What's up, (y/n)?- Asked me one of my few other friends.

-Juuzo... And his jokes...- I said sighing.

-I thought you two were getting along well because of his jokes too...- She said confused, sitting beside me.

-Not when his jokes start being about serious things...- I rested my head on the table.

-Are you talking about when he jokes aroud killing ghouls in a funny way?- She asked me, she seemed convinced by that.

-Nope... I found those ones really funny actually....- I confessed -Anyway! I'm a bit sick when he say that he considers himself my boyfriend or that he will be...-

-But I thought you like him..- She was confused every second more.

-I do! And this is exactly why I don't want him to say those things, I don't want them to be jokes, I want them to be reality... Because if he thought that for real then we would be already dating... But obviously he consider me just as his crazy best friend...- I said this in one breathb I needed to let it out.

-Oh (y/n)! This is so sweet of you!- She said making me blush.

-You could have told me sooner!- I became ever redder. Because this was Juuzo's voice. He heard everything I had just said. It was the end. We wouldn't be even best friends anymore.

-Oh... I'll leave the two of you alone then- My other friends said me leaving me and Juuzo, alone in the room. But by her voice I could guess that she was hearing every single words we were saying behind the door.

-Why didn't you tell me sooner that I was annoying you with that jokes- His voice was still playful.

-Then they were jokes - I said staring at him. It looked like I was accusing him of that... It wasn't his fault... -Sorry Juuzo... I simply wish those words about the two of us dating came from your heart not from your crazy great head- I said poking his forehead.

-But they came from my heart!- He said, I never saw him worried because of something like that.

-Prove it- It was the only thing I could say. And before I realized what I had just said I felt his lips on mine. The kiss didn't last really long, but it was filled with real love. I heard my friend fangirling behind the door.

-Is this enough of a proof?- He asked smiling, I noddes and kissed him again.
