I work up the next morning, and started to pack my things. I didn't pay any mind to my surroundings. I grabbed my stuff (which was very little) and threw it in a small bag. I then went for the stables. I took one of the horses there, and saddled it up. I tied my pack to the saddle, and took my uniform's cape, buttoning it around my neck.

I pulled the cape's hood up and mounted the horse as soon as I finished tacking it. Without a word I left. Walking out of the stables calmly.

"(Y/n)?" Clair's voice echoed. "Hey, wait!" I stop before cantering off. I stop and turn the horse around.

"What?" My face is stone cold. I watched as she lightly gasped at my action.

"Aren't you going to say good bye to everyone?" She asked, crossing her arms.

"I figured nobody cared." I reply, " I mean, you certainly don't."

"Of course I do! I mean you are joining the scouting legion for God's sake! You are risking your life! You might die out there! I can't bare to know that you are doing that! (Y/n)! I love you like a sister! You mean the world to me!" She walked up to me, grabbing the rains, and patting my horse.

"Oh." I say simply.

"Nothing else to say?" She asks, fuming with anger.

"I do have something to say. I feel the same for you! But, I'm just jealous. I wanted to so badly be in the MP, but I didn't achieve my goal. That's fine. I don't care, I thought I picked what is best for me. That is why I joined the Scouts. I'm sorry. I promise though, I'll be safe. I promise you that. I'll write to you frequently! I promise!"

She looked at me tears in her eyes. I got off the horse, and hugged her tearing in my eyes, too. I break, letting my sadness getting to me and sobbing. "I'm so sorry!" I say between sobs. I feel her pat my back.

"Hey, be strong. You can do it! I believe in you. I hate to send you off so soon but, duty calls. I have to head off soon, too. Please stay safe." She says, wiping my tears away. She smiles at me.

"Get going!" She said slapping my arm playfully.

"You too!" I say, pushing her away.

I enter the Survey Corp head quarters, there were many people walking around. I looked around worriedly, pulling my hood up further.

"Cadet, Dok." I stop my horse, and avert my gaze to see a tall man, standing taller then the horse. I quickly dismounted off the horse and saluted the man. It was Erwin Smith. I saluted him.

"It's good to see you. I've heard a lot about you."

"I hope good things, Sir!"

"Definitely." He says.

"When you are finished, I ask for you to come to my office."

"Oh! yes, Sir!" Walking away, I bump into someone. I look up quickly apologize and try to the person and try to walk on. I hear the person shout but I forced my legs to stride forward. The person's voice was deep, and it had a cocky like tone to it. I ignored it, and tried to find my newly assigned room.

I unpacked my things, and looked around. I felt a strange feeling in my stomach. I didn't know whether I was happy, or sad. I felt salty tears start to form in my eyes. I didn't have any particular reason as to you why I wanted to.  I let a few tear slide when I here a knock on my door. I quickly tidy myself up I rub my face to clear the tear that left my eyes. I walk to the door.

"Cadet Dok. Open up please." The voice was calming, yet the feminine voice was giddy. I opened door and was greeted by a tall female with messy burnet hair tangled into a bun that fell out and is now a pony tail. She had square glasses that softly sat on the bridge of her nose. Not knowing if she was a superior so I saluted her.
