"What do we do?" I held Lucifer to maintain my balance.

"I don't know" His answer was lifeless.

I wondered how Lucifer managed to stand upright because Ms.Shones was trying to maintain her own balance by holding on to Luc from the other side. Technically, our weight must pull him down. And more technically, we must be doing something to stop what is going on.

Dylan's rage.

After she told me she'd kill my not-so-nice father, I thought she would storm out ot find him.

No.

Dylan just held Dexter and kept crying. None of us wanted to pull her off of her husband's corpse. In fact, neither I nor Ms. Shones had the courage to go up to her and tell he is gone. We were scared to use the word 'Dead'. If you see the amount of damage her anger was doing, you would be scared too. Two of the trees already uprooted and fell down with a loud 'thud'. From what Ms.Shones has to say, the ground in the auditorium split too and the witches fell into deeper pits of the underworld. Sadly, some of our people too.

"Desiree"

My eyeballs almost sprouted out of their sockets and fell to the ground when I heard her say the name.

"Desiree?" I repeated the name.

Ms. Shones nodded, "She was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The ground split and-" She didn't have to continue. I got the picture.

Luc simply shut his eyes and sighed. It was too hard on him. Two deaths the very same night and both of them were very dear to all of us. And the most depressing truth is that we didn't know who else will be gone. We didn't know if we ourselves would survive the tornado. But does it matter? Not to me at least. It hurts more to see the ones you love gone than losing your own life. At least, if you die, the pain dies too.

"Can't we stop her?" Ms. Shone's shaky voice asked.

"I would have if I could" Luc answered and wiped a tiny tear away while I still held his hand tight.

And I couldn't help but think this was all because of me. I am the root cause of all the problems these people are facing today. Let us face the actual facts. My mother loved Josh and wanted to maintain this great romantic relationship with him. She knew he hailed from a family which once supported the cause of Vampire destruction though they were vampires themselves. She couldn't help but fall for his charm and fake promises. She thought he would leave the evil behind and start this whole new life of happiness with her. I think it would have happened too.

Then I happened.

They had their share of stolen kisses, secret meetings and make out sessions. It is hard to picture a Goddess do it all but at the end of the day, she is a female. She has her own desires and expectations. She is not the Kind of Goddess you will read about in an epic or religious script. She was once a girl like you and me, trying to find a life that suites her best but got stuck in a war of total foolishness.

But like I said, I happened.

My dad didn't want me and she didn't want to let go of me. He called me names and she cursed him in anger. And now, he wants revenge. What do you think is the best way to hurt her mentally? By destroying what she once fought for, what she once thought was the reason for her existence?

You have the answer, genius.

I let go of Luc's hand and came to stand before him.

"Calm her down. I'll be right back"

He frowned, "Where are you going?"

"To Julian. He needs someone right now" I lied. I hoped he didn't notice that my lips were quivering and my hands formed strong fists. I hated lying to him. After all the drama we had to face in the past for keeping secrets, I didn't want to keep anything from him anymore.
