Chapter 52 - Our First Christmas

MY MUM SURPRISED ME WITH TICKETS TO GO SEE ADAM AND QUEEN IN SYDNEY NEXT MONTH!!!!!!!!!!! I WAS CRYING THE ENTIRE DAY WHILE I WAS WORKING BUT OMG IM SO EXCITED AND WE'RE IN SECTION A AND CLOSEST TO THE STAGE AND AHHHHH!!!!

Chapter 52:

I get home and to be honest I'm exhausted. I've still got dinner with the band and family tonight, and then the three of us are putting up and decorating the tree. I've also got to wrap everything, and let me tell you, I have too much family.

Tonight, the band and dancers. Tomorrow morning it's me and the parents. But then it's Adam's family, and tomorrow night Sauli flies to Finland to see his family, and I won't see him until the 3rd of January. He wanted Adam and me to go with him, but Adam can't afford to, and no not money wise. He's working Boxing Day on the album to make sure it's ready in time. And I have my New Year's photo shoot for Elite on the 27th. I hate that I can't meet my grandparents and aunties for the first time, but I know I will one day.

I walk through the front door and walk straight upstairs, putting every bag into my closet, and chucking my hand bag on my bed. I collapse onto my mattress and hold my phone in front of me, scrolling through twitter.

I hit the send button and decide to do a follow spree to relax. I go through my followers and some of my mentions. I follow an extra 2 thousand people, and smile at the tweets in my mentions of happy Glambert's.

I look through the replies to my latest tweet and smile widely at one in particular.

I tap reply and start typing away.

@AddysGirl29: @GlamItUp23 How about a locket with a photo of you together in it? Or maybe a nice bracelet or even an outfit? Xx

She seems pretty happy with my suggestions and says the locket idea is great. I follow her as well and then close the app.

I look at the time as I lock my phone and see it's already 10 to 6. I get off my bed and stretch out my limbs before kicking off my shoes and walking downstairs. The carpet is a welcomed feeling, and the cool tiles of the kitchen are soothing as I get out all the pots and pans I need for tonight. I finally convinced Adam and Sauli to let me cook dinner. They think I do too much around the house.

Just because I always have a clean room and don't mind doing the laundry and cooking, doesn't mean I do too much. I just like to have a tidy house.

I sing a traditional song my Abuela's would always sing when we cooked together, as I turn the stove top on and start boiling the water for the mashed potatoes.

"How was your shopping trip with Kat?" Sauli asks as he tosses an apple in the air.

I grab it mid toss and put it back in the fridge.

"No eating until dinner. I'm making too much for people to be half full. And it was good. I never realised just how hard you two are to shop for." I laugh and he rolls his eyes in a teasing manner.
