Chapter 33

Maddie's P.O.V
Sebastian and I went back into the classroom. Everybody looked at the both of us. Probably mostly me though because it looks like I've been crying, because I have.
"Are you two good now?" Mr. Smith asked.
We both nodded and went back to our seats.
After School
I was waiting at the bike rack for Sebastian and Oliver. They were taking forever.
I got out my phone and texted them in a group chat Oliver had made.
Maddie: I'm about to leave you guys if you don't get over here soon
Oliver: Sorry I'll be over there in a sec
Sebastian: I'm not going home with you guys today
Maddie: Who are you going with?
Sebastian: Dylan
Maddie: Oh, new dude friend?😂
Sebastian: Actually new girlfriend
I didn't respond because I didn't know how to process it.
Oliver texted just me.

Oliver: Are you okay Maddie?
Maddie: Yup, he's my best friend, I'll be happy as long as he's happy
Oliver: You sure?
Maddie: Geez Oliver! I'm fine! I'm walking home by myself.
Oliver: Maddie don't. I don't want you, ya know getting hurt again
Maddie: Nobody is going to take me, I'm to ugly for anybody to think that they are going to have sex with me
Oliver: Maddie! Hell no! If you move- I swear
Maddie: You swear what Oliver
Oliver: Maddie knock it off and don't go anywhere
Maddie: Fine bish
Oliver: Thank you

Oliver got here after another five minutes. When I saw him walk up to me, he looked pissed!
"Maddie tell me again that you're ugly" he said.
"Fine, I'm ugly" I responded.
He grabbed my hand and took me to behind the library.
"What are we doing over here?" I asked him getting annoyed.
"Maddie, you are the most beautiful person I have ever seen! I'm just gonna do something, and hopefully you can figure out why I'm so mad" he said then smashed his lips onto mine.
I stepped away.
"Oliv-" I said but he interrupted me.
"When you and Sebastian were dating, I ended up developing feelings for you Maddie" he said and I gasped.
I didn't say anything, not because I didn't want to, but because I didn't know what to say.
I then finally spoke out.
"Ol-Oliver. I'm sorry" I said and he nodded.
"I shouldn't have even told you, I'm sorry" he said.
"No its fine, we all have feelings and we can't control them" I said.
"I think I'm gonna go home" he said.
"Oh okay, I'll just go home with Mark" I said and nodded.
He left and I looked around to see Sebastian staring at me with wide eyes standing next to Dylan.
He walked over to me.
"Maddie what the hell! Before I say anything, let me just say this. I'm not jealous, but I'm just confused. Just because we break up doesn't mean you go after my brother!" He said.
"Why do you even care?!" I said.
"BECAUSE HES MY BROTHER!" He said
"Well guess what, if you saw that little kiss that happened between us, I wasn't the one who started it and I'm not the one with the feelings for the other, so get off my back and leave me alone" I said and walked away.
I decided to go to the park again. When I got there I once again saw Caden sitting on the bench, so I walked over to him and sat down.
"What's up?" I asked.
"Nothing much, you?" He responded.
"Well a lot just happened, but you probably don't want to hear what happened, so I'm just going to say that I'm terrible" I said and put my face in my hands.
He took my hands off my face.
"I know we don't have a good past, but I was wondering if you want to be my friend" he said.
(Tbh, I don't remember if I already did this, so comment if I did or not lol)
"Of course" I said and we both smiled.
"So now that we're friends, you can tell me what happened because I'm going to be here for you when you need it, because that's what friends do" he said and we both laughed.
I told Caden what happened. He looked upset with a bit of jealousy.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yah I'm fine" he said and looked down.
"Alright, it's your turn now, I told you what was wrong and now your gonna tell me"
"It doesn't even matter"
"Yes it does"
"No it doesn't"
"Caden I will fight you till you tell me"
He laughed.
"Alright let's see what you can do"
I stood up and lifted up my fist then I started to tickle his stomach.
"M-Maddie Stop" He said in between giggles.
"Are you gonna tell me what's wrong" I said and stopped.
"Never"he said and I continued.
He then stood up and then threw me over his shoulder.
"CADEN! PUT ME DOWN" I screamed.
"No" he said and started running around the park.
"Fine u don't have to tell me, BUT PUT ME DOWN!" I said to him.
"Fine" He said and put me down.
"Your annoying" I said.
"Thanks" he said.
"It's not a compliment sir"
"I don't care" he said and laughed. I just rolled my eyes.
"We should hang out later" he said.
"Sure, where?" I said.
"Uhhh I don't know, where's your favorite place to eat?"
"I'll eat anything" I said and laughed.
"I like your laugh" he said.
"Oh thanks" I said and blushed a little. Why did I just blush... whatever it's nothing.
"Umm, is ice cream cool?" He asked.
"Sure" I said and smiled.
"Cooleo, what time?"
"Uhhhh"
I look down at my phone, 5:30.
"6:15?"
"Okie Dokie" He said. He sounded like a child and it made me laugh.
"What's so funny?" He asked.
"Nothing" I said while trying to keep my laughs in.
"Tell me" He said.
"No, I'm not gonna tell you unless you tell me why you were down earlier"
"Fine, we won't tell each other" he said. I nodded.
"Alrighty, well I'm gonna head home and get ready" I said and he nodded. I started to walk off but then I turned around back to him.
"What's your number?" I asked and chuckled.
"123-456-7890" he said.
"K, thanks" I said then turned around to leave, but then turned around again. I went back to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Wtf. Am I okay? I think I'm sick.
"Sorry, I'm gonna go now" I said and he just started laughing. Then I finally left.
