Dean POV:
I and Seth sitting in the car on the way back to the hotel for the night after the shooting is over. Roman had stayed back because he wants to talk to the director. As I drive, I notice the road work lights flashing in the dark of the early evening.
"Hope these roads aren't icy." I sigh as I follow the orange detour signs. The signs take us down back roads and into an umbrella of trees.
"They shouldn't be," Seth says hopefully and looks out the window. "What's that?" He asks when a sign comes into view.
"Ice skating rink, haven't seen one of those in a while." I muse aloud, "Babe, shall we go?"
"No, Dean. I have never been ice skating before." He says.
I smirk at him, "Then we definitely want to do this."
"No, Dean. It snowed already. If we go there, we get cold," He shrugs. I huff in thought and then turn down the road, leading to the rink. "We really don't want to do this." He whines.
"Uh, you're not getting out of it now, the decision has already been made." I say with a smirk and drive into a parking spot then shut the car off, "Come on, I promise it'll be fun."
"I'm gonna fall on my ass more times than not." He argues as he gets out.
"I will catch you babe, you'll be fine." I grab his hand and start walking towards the entrance. We go up to a little hut next to the rink and get our skates then walk over to the bench which is closed by and start lacing them up.
"I don't know about this, Dean." He says, "I'm gonna be like a newborn baby deer."
I laugh, "And I can't wait to see that but once you get the hang out it, you'll be fine. Now, come on." I slowly make my way to the edge of the enclosed rink. He groans and then follows behind me. I step onto the ice and get my bearings then motion for him to join with me.
Slowly, he steps onto the ice and is about to fall but I'm quick and catch him before he lands on the ice. I help him to stand upright and grab his hand, "Okay, we'll take it slow."
"Don't grab onto me, I don't wanna drag you down with me when I fall." He urges and wiggles his hand to get me to release it.
"I'm not gonna let you fall whatever happens." I assure him, "Now stop being a baby, Seth." I tease and let his hand, "Stay here. I'm gonna take a lap to get my bearings and then I'll show you the ropes, okay? Hold onto the wall if you have to."
He tentatively takes a hold of the wall and watches me take off. I am slow at first but I slowly gain the confidence and soon do a pro. He watches me as I flawlessly glide across the ice.
"Ready to give it a shot?" I ask as I go to him. He nods and watches as I begin to demonstrate my technique. "One foot in the front of the other, and you wanna push outward, not straightforward. Here, give it a try." I say after showing him my footwork. He releases the wall and begins moving his feet like me. "Good, let's try for a lap."
"Oh god," He says under his breath. He begins to move forward slowly and I find him lose his balance so I come up beside him and grab onto his arm and grasp it, "Just hold onto me for now until you feel ready, okay?"
He nods and I lead the way around the rink. He slowly begins to feel more confident in his movement, "Okay, let me try this again."
"Let's see it," I prompt. He takes a deep breath and begins to take off on his own.
"Go, take a lap, show off your new found skill, baby." I say. He smiles and takes off, gaining some speed and then slow down around the turns. He makes his way back to me and I hug him, "Good job, I'm proud." I pat his shoulder.
"Well, you're a good teacher." He shrugs. We take off again and start a lap together. He gets a little more confident and skates ahead of me and throws in a little flair of his own.
"Shit!" I cry out from behind and he quickly turns, "Dean!" He exclaims and skates over to me. He gets on his knees next to me, "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine." I audibly catch my breath, "I just got distracted."
"Distracted by what?" He asks.
"By you." I say and we stare at each other for a moment and I close the gap between us and press my lips against him. I lace my arm with him and then we start to skate towards the exit.
Once we take off our skates, we put back on our shoes and return the skates before we make our way back to the car.
