Baekhyun and I broke up about three days ago and everyone doesn't know about it, not even EXO. We figured out that a fan and idol relationship won't just work no matter how much we tried to work it out. Maybe we're not just meant to be for each other.
I can't say I'm fine by it even though I am the one who broke up with him. I just don't want to see Baekhyun dividing his time for work and for me. Seeing him tired and sleepy all the time trying to make me happy is the worst sight ever.
Today, I was just sulking while bitterly looking at our photos still saved on my phone when I suddenly received a message from Baekhyun.
Baekhyunee:
Come with me to visit eomma. She's not fine and she wants to see you.
Baekhyunee:
Don't tell her we broke up. She doesn't know it yet. It will break her heart.
Baekhyunee:
I'm fetching you at 7. By the way, we're staying there until Mother's fine.
I looked at the time and saw that I only have 30 minutes till 7 AM so I quickly went to shower and dressed myself. Just in time after I got my things ready, I heard a car engine stopping outside my house.
My heart felt like it's going to explode as I stepped out and my eyes finding Baekhyun leaning his back against the car. He looked more tired compared to when I broke up with him three days ago.
"I... I'm sorry if I disturbed you. It's just that eomma doesn't feel well." he told me and opened the door of his car for me. I nodded at him and quietly slid inside his car.
Baekhyun turned and stopped right in front of the car to take a call. I immediately recognized the caller as his mother because of the way he smiled after answering the call. I lip-read him saying that he has fetched me and we're on the way then he hung up. I swear I could hear him sigh after putting his phone back on his pocket before taking the driver's seat.
The atmosphere suddenly went super awkward the moment the door of his car closed. He blinked numerous times while his hand fidgeted on the steering wheel. My hands also played with the zipper on my bag as I remained my eyes outside the window. Fck this.
"D-did you bring something good for at least three days?"
"Yeah."
"Very well." then he turned the engine on and drove away from my house.
"I already told Suho hyung to tell his brother to excuse you from work so you don't have to worry about it." I saw him through my peripheral vision that he glanced at me for a second before looking at the road.
"Okay." I shortly replied. "I'm sleeping. Wake me up when we get there."
He didn't reply so I took that as a yes and leaned my back against the chair comfortably and closed my eyes. I did not sleep at all, I just wanted to avoid conversations that may make the awkward situation worst.

"Hey, wake up."
I jolted up when I felt Baekhyun's hand on my shoulder. He then withdrew his hand and blushed hardly. "We're here." he shyly said before going out of the car.
I used my hands to fan myself, why does my face feel so hot? Baekhyun opened the car door for me and offered his hand to get my bag, I handed it to him before I got out of the car. As soon as I did, Baekhyun's mother came running towards us.
