I have been stealing things that is so valuable for these humans around the world. May it be the ancient golden sword, some jewelries that once belonged to a queen from a long time ago and a lot more that were well protected. Well, not from me. What do I do to those things? As expected, sell them to those who wants them. Not to brag about this, but my skills in stealing things are way better than those thief who steals from convenience stores. Obviously, those stupid gets caught easily while I don't.
In my years of stealing some valuable things from the museum or some well secured vault owned by some rich men, I never fall in love to what I steal.
Except to one.
The diamond.
This diamond is the most beautiful, the most valuable out of all I have stolen. The moment someone asked me to take it away from the most secured museum in the world and my eyes were set on its ethereal beauty, I thought I should just take it for myself and keep it instead.
I looked down at the place where I'm supposed to go down and eyed the blinking red lines below. Ha! I thought this is the most secured place to hide such beauty. This is will be easy.
With the help of the equipment I have with me, I successfully landed down without making any sound. I stood up, fixed my clothes and stretched my body, readying myself to face the laser beams ahead me.
Then I went towards the beams. I had to bend over, roll, crawl, you name it. I carefully did my job until I reach the end. As what I have said, this will be easy. I looked forward and saw that there are few meters that I still have to walk to before reaching the very vault which contained the diamond. It was first hidden inside this vault and will be taken out in the morning for those who came to the museum to see its beauty. The moment the museum closes, it's back in this vault and vice versa.
Seeing no harm, I was about to take a step forward when something flew towards me, specifically flying pass beside my head. I didn't managed to know what is it but when my eyes followed where it headed, I gasped seeing a small knife stuck on the vault's door. What the hell? That fucking knife flew pass me?!
"You should be careful, baby." I turned around to where that voice belong and saw a man standing on the place where I landed earlier. I couldn't see his face as he was wearing a mask that covers the upper part of his face just like what I am also wearing at the moment. "There are things that your eyes doesn't see."
He pressed something on the thing he was holding and the laser beams between our distance had disappeared. Then I heard a short weird electronic sound behind me so I turned around to face the vault and saw that there are laser beams in the space in front of it. Damn it! Now I know why it looked easy and why there is such space before reaching the vault. Because those new laser beams that appeared were invisible! I was completely frozen when I realized that I was about to touch those only if this guy hadn't appeared. Should I thank him?
"Need some help, kitten?"
I looked back at him for a second and groaned inside my mind. Did he just offended me? Is he low-key mocking my skills just because I failed to see this stupid laser beams? It sounded like one. Instead of feeling grateful for stopping me from getting caught, I felt really offended instead.
