One Day At A Time One Shot

Comic con was always your favourite time of the year, the time that you and your partner Syd were able to go out in costumes and spend time with like-minded people who were as big of geeks as the two of you. You enjoyed the planning of your costumes and working on them together, but it was always a surprise on the day as to what you would look like, not seeing the final product on until you're about to leave for the day.

This year you decided on classic DC characters, based on their television versions. You were going as Supergirl whilst they were going as The Green Arrow. It took a few months over all to get everything put together but now you were actually in your costume, you were basically jumping on the spot, wanting to know what Syd would think and how they would look in their costume.

When you heard the knock on the door you couldn't believe the excitement that rushed through you. It was your favourite day and knowing you could spend it with the person that you loved just made it even more magical.

You opened your front door to see a masked figure in a familiar green vigilante costume. Although most of the face was obscured you couldn't help but notice Syd's beautiful smile on their face.

"You look amazing," you squealed jumping up and down, allowing your skirt to fly up with you.

Syd pushed their mask onto the top of their head, revealing their face.

"You... you look stunning," they croaked, the words not fully wanting to escape as their cheeks became redder and redder.

Ever since you had been together, you couldn't help but admire their awkwardness and how they tried to be confident but knew their confidence was now growing.

"Not really," you shrugged, toying with the hem of your skirt until your hand moved around to the cape that hung behind you, grasping it between your fingers awkwardly.

"No really," they grinned. "You could be the real Supergirl."

Soon your cheeks matched the same colour of your partner, as they hesitantly leant in to press a gentle kiss to your cheek, jumping away quickly.

"You really do look stunning and your costume is so beautifully made," they smiled. "I can't express how much I appreciate and admire you."

You couldn't help but smile in return. "I love you Syd."

"I love you Y/N."
