It was a very long next few days in Colorado. Beatrice hadn't woken up and all of them were terrified to find out what really happened to her. Sam sat by her bedside and never left. He didn't sleep, eat, or shower. It was about a week later from the incident and he looked like he was wasting away. He showed no emotion, because  he was still in shock at seeing what the hotel did to her. The rest of them sat in the waiting room, taking turns going to the cafeteria and going back to a nearby hotel to shower and change their clothes.

"This is all my fault." Colby said sitting down at one of the small tables in the cafeteria.

"Stop, don't blame yourself. We all should have left after we got that warning." Gemma said sitting in front of him.

"She just looked so scared." Colby said getting choked up. He covered his face and took a deep breath. He cleared his throat and looked back at Gemma. "I mean, what happens if she doesn't wake up? If that's it." Colby sighed trying not to get emotional again.

"It can't be that bad-"

"She's basically in a coma. Because of me and Sam...we did this to her." Colby said getting fed up. Gemma just grabbed his hand and looked towards the table.

"Why don't you go back to the hotel and get some rest?" Gemma suggested softly.

"No. Not until I hear if she is ok." Colby said.

Meanwhile Sam sat there in silence. He looked at Beatrice. Who was connected to a breathing tube and was hooked up to a whole bunch of machines. Sam hated seeing her like this. He couldn't hug her, couldn't hold her and tell her everything was going to be ok. He thought about how they never should have went to that hotel. That the series was a stupid idea when it put the people he loves in danger.

"Samuel Golbach Correct?" The Doctor said walking into the room making Sam jump.

"Oh yes that's correct." He said sitting up in his seat and fixing his hair.

"Well we did some tests and it seems like she went into shock from something she saw or experienced, so her body went into shut down mode which doesn't happen often. The scratches on her stomach were infected and only one of them needed stitches so the shutdown could have been from blood loss. The coughing up blood was from how hard she was coughing and inhaling from the panic attack she was experiencing. I don't know what she saw or went through but it really took a toll on her body." The doctor said looking at his notes.

"Is she going to be ok? Will she wake up?" Sam asked.

"Well as of now she is ok. But if her oxygen levels drop and so does her heartbeat like it was when she first came here, I don't think her body could handle the electric shock to bring her back." The doctor said. "I'm really sorry, I wish I had better news." He sighed.

"Do you know if she can hear me?" Sam asked.

"Well there hasn't been any proven evidence but people always say that while a person is in a coma they are still conscious, so it's worth a shot." The doctor smiled and walked out of the room. Sam quickly broke down and covered his face. He wanted to hear good news. He needed to hear it. But now, not having any certainty of if Beatrice would wake up caused Sam to panic. He quickly calmed his breath and wiped his eyes and sat on the edge of his seat and held Beatrice's hand.

"Bea? Beatrice, if you can hear me, I don't know if you can but I'm always a very open minded person, I just want to say I'm really sorry for putting you into danger. I knew things were sketchy but I said we should stay for the video." Sam said getting choked up. " god I love you so much. And I really want you to be ok. And I know how strong you are, so you need to keep fighting. If not for me than for Amara and Gemma, and Corey and Colby and Jake, and the unborn family member Amara is carrying. There are so many people who would do anything for you and I am so so so so so sorry we couldn't do anything to help you this time before it was too late." Sam cried. "I've never been in this situation where I can lose someone I care most about. I'm scared Beatrice." He said his voice breaking. "I don't know what to do. I don't know how to help you. I'm not a good person, I'm not strong. I don't deserve someone as great as you when I just keep putting you in danger." Sam cried harder and harder to the point where he couldn't talk. That's when Amara walked in.
