However the class got over and it was soon lunch break. I ran to Manvi's school and dropped her at home and went back to my college. I threw myself to the library as there were more 15 mins left for the lunch break to be over. As I was on my way to the library, he stood on my way stopping my path. "Would u mind to stop by for having lunch? ", he asked probably by seeing the way I was running like. I am sure I looked like one of those office clerks who never got a day off. "At least u can do this for the birthday boy.. ", he said ,now with a lighter voice and forwarded a steel tiffin. There were 3 gulabjamuns in there. "Your mom made these with love for u, I reckon", I said plastering a smile and returned the tiffin. "But my mom says that we must always fill the stomachs of those who r special for us with the best thing u have.. ", he said. I couldn't argue and took one of the gulabjamuns and returned the others. "Only one?? ", he said in disdain. "I have had my lunch... ", I lied and there was a sheer disbelief written all over his face. He was about to say something when the lunch break got over and I hurried to the class. After my class I heard a noise. I went following the noise and there was a crowd already enjoying the scene. It was Jai. Jai was the principal's son. That was the reason that he never got punished for his bullies. I saw that he was about to punch someone. Before he could punch him I held his hand and looked for a moment at the person whom he was about to beat. It was Darshan. I don't know why an unknown rage evolved inside me and I directly went on beating him so hard that he broke one of his bones and his nose was bleeding. I just checked the corner of my lips which ached a bit. Blood was coming out and my knuckles had also turned red. I rushed into the washroom and washed my face to erase the blood stains. I went out when a voice reached my ears. "U should apply first aid". I turned around to see him leaning towards the wall looking at me. I saw that his head bleeded and I took him to the sick ward. At first Maina Didi was confused whom to apply the first aid until I asked her to bandage his forehead and she did it. "And what about you? ", he asked as I was leaving. "Just mind ur own business. ", I said as I had no words to say. I directly went to "The Royals" as I had promised Rachel. "Hey what happened to you? ", Rajesh exclaimed as soon as he saw me. "R u able to see the blood stains? ", I said confused checking again the corner of my lips. "No... I just played a trick to know if you got into a fight today... ", he said and I gave an awkward smile. I changed soon and got into my work. Well, even though Rajesh knows me as a waitress here, he doesn't know that I work beyond it. It was 5 when a bunch of children came into the restaurant. One of them raised his hands calling me. I went there to ask for the order when my eyes fell upon him. The smile that I had forced onto my lips were fading away as he looked at me confused and perplexed. "Your order sir! ", I said to get him out of the confusion and the other boy gave the order. I took the order and gave it to the chef inside. He prepared them and I took them to their table. He still gazed at me. I was at another table just behind his'. He came behind me and asked, "What's this? ". I wanted to break down but I said, "It's my business... None of urs.... ". He looked down and went into the washroom the next moment. My heart ached but heartbreaks are necessary if u give them to someone else. After a hour or so he left. At nearly 12 Rajesh too left. I went into the bar section and bought a bottle of beer. I drank it whole and went back to work. "I hope u remember that u have to work overnight ", Rachel said me and I nodded in a yes. There was literally no one. It was just me. I washed the dishes which were uncountable and even cleaned the mess in the kitchen. I even kept the count of cups and plates. It was nearly 2 and my work was over. I went to Rachel and she asked me to go home. I was going out with a beer bottle and I saw him! Oh god!! Why doesn't this person leave me?? I tried to ignore him and move away when he ran behind me and caught my wrist. "It's almost 2 and u must go home ", I said him. "Really?! U care about me going to my home.... U don't care for how long I have been standing here to meet u? ", he said in a sad voice. "Darshan leave me... ", I said in a low voice. "At least you remember my name... ", he said and loosened his grip. I turned around to move away when he forced me to turn around and asked me," What's the matter? ". I looked at my watch, and it struck 2.15. I had to reach home as fast as possible and here he was playing KBC with me. "It's nothing just leave me and go home.... ", I said and turned around to go. He didn't stop me this time. I tried to sneak in the house when Ruksar chachi caught me. "Where were u for this long? ", she asked pulling my hair so strongly that my skull would come out and then doomed me into the wall. Blood crippled down my head and I was there saying, "I am sorry" and sobbing. She mercilessly caught my neck so tight that I would die if she hadn't left me. "Now go wash the dishes and after that wash the clothes ", she ordered and I agreed. She went to sleep. After a few minutes there was a knock on the door. I didn't want to open the door with blood streaming down my head and I couldn't ask Ruksar chachi or Manvi to open the door as they were sleeping. So I went to open the door and see who it was at this point of time. I opened the door and he stood there. "D.. Do u need something? ", I fumbled a bit. "U had left a very beautiful ornament from ur body... ", he said without looking at me as he gave me the bracelet which my mom had gifted me. It was the last gift she gave me. He hesitantly looked up and saw the wound. "What happened? ", he asked sounding almost lost, in a very low voice. "It's not... Nothing", I said and asked him to come inside. He hesitated but he came. I offered him a cup of coffee and he didn't deny. He had his coffee and went away. All this time he was silent. I went to the kitchen, washed the dishes and then washed the clothes. It was nearly 3.30 by now. I freshened up and went to sleep. Rest was all I needed now. I knew it's just a 1 hour sleep but that 1 hour is all I need in my life.................
