"Hey, wanna play?" A red head little wolf asked loudly.
"No", I said.
"Why?"
"I don't know you." I made up the first excuse that came to mind.
"My name's Levi", the little wolf beamed. "I'm gonna be Alpha someday!"
"Hi..."

"See? Now you know me! What's your name?" He sat beside me at the long table in the mess hall. It was empty, spare for Lucille and Her older brother, Darren. They were speaking with the staff about arrangements for the Harvest Moon Fest.

"I am Chaos." I stated.
"Daddy said you're a vampire? What's that?"
"I drink blood and I hate sunlight", I redirected him. That was the most basic explanation I could conjure in that moment. Frankly, I was really annoyed- his voice was so high pitched it rang in my ears obnoxiously.

"ewwww, can I drink blood?" His face twisted in disgust as his imagination ran wild.

"no, you'd get sick."
"Can you play with me now?" He had quickly recovered from his earlier disgust and looked at me with expectant eyes.

"No." I guess he was the type of kid that believed there was a solution if you tried hard enough.

"Why?"
"Because I hate sunlight." I put the blood-pop back in my mouth. I was getting bored and this pop wasn't very good- I didn't like stale, congealed blood. The target market for these pops were for ancient vampires, who's teeth were preserved or destroyed. It was like a savory treat if we were to compare in human standards.

"Oh. Right."
Little wolf slumped in his chair, contemplating ways to get me to play with him.

I looked over to find Lucille and Big man talking to one of the chefs, who had a notepad and was writing viciously with a pen in his hand. The chef nodded his head and added some input to their conversation occasionally.

"Oh! I know! How about we play video games inside!" Levi conspired.
"I don't know how to play video games."
"I'll teach you!"
"the microwaves hurt my eyes." Wasn't entirely a lie.
"Oh." He slumped once again, stuck between a rock and a hard place. I sure he didn't even know what microwaves were, he just understood that it was a reason.
Lucille patted my shoulder and I turned to face her, tilting my head upwards to meet her eye to eye as I was sat on the bench
"What's your favorite food?" she asked.
"young adult woman."
Lucille looked at me in confusion before smirking and shaking her head. I suppose she expected a different answer from last time.

She mumbled something along the lines of 'weirdo' as she walked away. She was wearing leather pants and heels with a long sleeve white lace shirt with frills. She carried herself with an elegance and I was transfixed with how she moved as she strutted away from me. Her butt was amazing in those tight pants...

"Can we-"
"Alright, that's enough Levi, leave Chaos alone." Darren cracked his fingers and rolled his neck, gesturing for his son to reproach him.

"Awwe man..." Levi climbed off the bench and went towards his father. He was scooped up in a big hug before thrown over the big man's shoulders. The little wolf giggled and squirmed, fruitlessly trying to fight against the big man's back. They left the hall together.

I watched them retreat before peering on Lucille, who'd managed to slip into the seat beside me and was now staring at me with keen interest.
"Chaos?"
"Yes?"
"Will you be my date to the Harvest Fest?" She looked down at the table, picking at loose splinters in the wood. Her brows were furrowed, which would've led me to believe she was focus had she not slightly blushed. A date...

"Yes", I answered. She looked up at me then, and it made me smile the way her eyes lit up in response, a quirk in her cheek as she fought to hide her own grin.
