I woke up, pain everywhere, a hospital roof I didn't recognise.

Looking to my side I see a pair of lips and freak out.

"Ah! What the hell?!" I shouted before realising it was Recovery Girl, "ah, sorry Recovery Girl."

"It's alright, dear, you just woke up and you were spooked," she replied with a kind smile.

"How long have I been out?" I asked, my eyes were burning like crazy more than anywhere else.

"About three hours," she replied, "that move you did knocked out your eyesight and your nerves in one hit. You came third and here's your medal."

I accepted it and sighed before slipping off the bed and clicking my bones before grabbing my bags off the chair.

"Thank you for healing me," I thanked her before excusing myself.

"Your classmates stayed back to wait for you," she called to me.

"Oh really?" I asked before heading towards the entrance, "sucks to be them."

Two days later_
Normal school has started again_

I was on the train as usual, on my way to the bus stop to school when people started taking photos of me and whispering about me.

It was really annoying...but I guess that's what I get for being in UA.

The bus journey was no different, but at least this time I could sit down while it was happening.

Now I'm at school, on time too. *internal smirk* Fuck you Aizawa, I win.

"Good morning, y/n," Ashido greeted me as I walked over to my seat, I waved and sat down, "during the sports festival I'm almost positive you called me Ashido. Please, call me Mina!"

"U-uh OK..." I nodded.

"Yeah, I've noticed that you're really formal when talking to us too," Kirishima leaned back and looked at me, "you should drop that."

Why is this happening to me..???

"Anyway, did you rest over the two days we got off?" Mina asked I shook my head.

"I was training," I replied, "I knocked out my senses during the sports festival and needed to recover properly again. Resting wasn't going to help me too much."

"That...doesnt make sense, but OK," Kirishima nodded before the final students came into the class followed by Aizawa.

"Good morning," Aizawa greeted us.

"Good morning, Mr Aizawa," we all greeted him back.

"You don't have bandages anymore, that's good news," Asui pointed out.

"The old lady went overboard on her treatment," Aizawa replied, "anyway, we have a big class today, our hero informatics."

Hero infor-what?

Everyone looked stressed out. I'm confused.

"You need code names," Aizawa broke everyone's moment of devastation, "time to pick your hero identities."

Everyone cheered.

"It's just a name, what's there to get excited about?" I asked.

"You'll be known by this name for the rest of your hero career!" Uraraka exclaimed, "it's not just a name. It's your whole future!"

"I think that's a bit over-exaggerating," I muttered before losing interest and looking past her to Aizawa again.

Next thing we know, Aizawa is activating his quirk to silence everyone's excitement.

"This is related to the pro hero draft picks that I told you about the last time we were in class together," Aizawa started to elaborate, "normally students don't have to worry about the draft yet, not until their second or third year, actually. But your class is different, in fact, by extending offers to first years like you, pros are essentially investing in your potential. Any offers to you can be terminated if their interest in you dies down before graduation."

"Stupid selfish adults," Mineta snapped, slamming his fist on his desk as he trembled, out of anger or fear I haven't the clue.

"So what you're saying is we have to prove ourselves after we've gotten recruited?" Hagakure asked.

"Correct," Aizawa replied, "now, here are the totals for those of you who got offers."

He clicked a button on a remote and we all looked to the blackboard.

Y/n: 10,546
Todoroki: 4123
Bakugo: 3556
Tokoyami: 360
Iida: 301
Kaminari: 272
Yaoyorozu: 108
Kirishima: 68
Uraraka: 20
Sero: 14

Jeez.

"In past years its been a bit more spread out, but there's a pretty big gap this time," Aizawa told us.

"Gah! That's not fair," Kaminari sighed.

"Y/n got the most ahead of Todoroki and Bakugo?" Jiro commented.

"Yeah, it's the opposite to how they placed in the festival," Kirishima nodded.

"They probably weren't excited to work with the guy who had to be chained up in the end," Sero commented.

Bakugo had to be chained up?

What the hell did I miss?

"If I scared the pros, they're just weak!" Bakugo shouted angrily.

"Despite these results, you'll all be interning with pros, got it?" Aizawa asked, well, more like commanded, "even those of you who didn't get any offers."

"Oh, so we're all interning?" Midoriya asked. That. Is. What. He. Just. Said.

"Yes," Aizawa nodded, "you already got to experience combat with real villains on the attack of the USJ facility. But it'll still be helpful to see pros at work, up close and personal, in the field, first hand."

"And for that, we need hero names!" Sato exclaimed enthusiastically.

"Things are suddenly getting a lot more fun!" Uraraka agreed. I just sighed. I already know my name, just let me take a look at who wants me so I can figure out who will be best to train me enough to destroy my parents.

"These hero names will likely be temporary," Aizawa told us, "but take them seriously or--"

The door flew open.

"You'll have hell to pay later," Midnight cut Aizawa off and strolled into the classroom like it was her own.

Oh yay.

More Midnight.
