"What a wonderful scene." It was Chontelle on the line. "Are you guys trying to make it on FAMAS?" Her friend added. Mukhang narinig nito ang usapan sa pagitan nila ni Phil kanina. Agad niya kasi itong nasagot nang tumawag ang dalaga.
"Fuck you." She then reply.
Mabilis ang lakad ni Seline sa hallway, rinig sa bawat kanto ang tunog ng kaniyang heels.
"Oh? I wouldn't mind that, you know napatol ako sa babae Seline." matawa-tawang biro pa nito.
Baliw na talaga ang kaibigan niyang ito.
Napailing na lang siya. "Where are you?"
"I'm at the ground floor, here in the bar counter. I saw the waiter you've been talking about. He was so persistent looking for Phil Mendez, Seline." Narinig niya pa ang marahan na paglagok ng dalaga. Marahil ay umiinom na naman ito.
"Manmanan mo lang. Stay right there," she ordered.
"Roger that!"
Seline was about to enter the elevator when she hear Chontelle sudden cussed.
"Fuck! What is he doing here?" As she entered the elevator, agad niya itong tinanong.
"What happened?"
"Nick Palma is here." Nangunot ang noo niya sa narinig. Nick Palma was Chontelle boy best friend.
Now, what the fuck is happening?
"Bloody hell! Someone is following him too."
Doon na natigilan si Seline.
Okay, this is no good.
"Chontelle listen, stay calm. Don't do any stupid things. Stay where you are and just... Just stay..." Kilala niya ang kaibigan. Kaya nitong gawin kahit na ang pinakawalang kwentang bagay sa pinakagipit na sitwasyon. "I'll call you back."
"Damn it, where are you guys Daniella.. Aestellah..." She was about to dialled their number thru her smart watch when the elevator stop at the second floor.
"Present!" As if on cue, Daniella pop up in front of her. Nakasuot ito ng pang-waitress na damit at naka-wig pa habang may dalang tray. Dali-dali itong pumasok sa elevator at may ibinato sa kaniyang maliit na bagay.
It was an earpiece.
"Don't worry Seline, everything is under control," nakangiting saad nito.
"Where is Aes?" takang tanong niya pero imbis na sagutin ay tumingin lang ito sa CCTV. She already got what it means. Kasabay niyon ay ang pagbukas ng elevator.
"Drink ma'am?" biglang tanong sa kaniya ni Daniella. There is her best actress beloved friend. Agad naman siyang kumuha ng wine.
"Thanks." Nauna nang lumabas ang kaibigan bago siya. Ngunit nang lalabas na sana si Seline ay siya namang malakas na pag-ugong ang narinig niya mula sa earpiece. Saglit niya iyong ininda ngunit kalaunan ay narinig na din ni Seline ang boses ng kaibigang si Aestellah.
"Selenophile, don't go out. Listen, the person on your 60 degree is one of them. I identified them as Joker's mens."
Joker is a well know underground broker and a member of Omnipus Syndicate. The largest syndicate in the world that Kalopsia was trying to dig in. Joker has been a headache even in Seline profession. That mad man was the one supplying the Communist Party here in the country their firearms.
Fuck!
Agad niyang sinunod ang utos nito. Nagpanggap siyang nahihilo at para maging mas makatotohanan ay sinadya niyang mabitawan ang wine glass. Tinulungan naman agad siya ng lalaking nasa likod niya.
