JOE P.O.V.: I woke up the next morning with a loud groan, I turned around to the light and my head ached making me close my eyes. I heard a chuckle from the door and my eyes turned to that side of the room, the brunette standing there with a glass of water and her clothes already on smiled at me.
Demi: good morning sleepyhead
Joe: hey (I said to her and smiled slightly remembering last night) what time is it?
Demi: almost lunch time, I was gonna leave you alone but since you weren't waking up I wanted to make sure you're okay after last night's drinks
Joe: I'm fine, my head is fucking killing me tho
Demi: I supposed it, this is for you (she walked to the edge of the bed and I sat so she could give me the glass of water and a painkiller)
Joe: thank you (I drank it and left the glass in the bedside table) you're okay?
Demi: yes
Joe: spent a nice night?
Demi: (she shrugged and chuckled) I think we can say it was a nice night, right?
Joe: it was just great, believe me (she nodded and sat beside me in the bed) I should stop drinking, I can't live with these hangovers anymore
Demi: yea, I didn't want to talk about it cause maybe it would be a mood killer but I think you should quit drinking, at least that much
Joe: you're right (her phone rang and she glanced at it)
Demi: it's my mom, I should take the call
Joe: go ahead (she stood up and took the call before making her way into my ensuit bathroom)
I watched her until she closed the door and smiled. I was not even thinking when I heard the inside door that connects mine and Nick's house opening. I quickly put on my clothes and closed the bedroom's door before walking downstairs to find Nick in the kitchen.
Nick: oh hey, I didn't have milk and I'm craving some
Joe: yea, you could've asked before sneaking into my part of the house
Nick: why would I? I never do that. And plus I wanted to talk about last night...I mean, you must have had a very nice reason to leave me alone
Joe: (I remembered Demi naked under me and nodded) well yea, it was a better plan than just staying with you
Nick: I found a girl tho, so I forgive you (he started drinking a glass of milk)
Joe: you already found the milk, can you leave?
Nick: why? Oh...I got it, that girl you left me for is still here, right? Don't worry, she's probably sleeping
Joe: Nick, can you leave?
Nick: I'm positive she'd love to meet me
Joe: no, I don't think so
Nick: why not? Does she already know me?
Joe: no...leave. Unless you want me to ask you who did you spend the night with
Nick: okay okay, but we'll talk later (I nodded and he left my part of the house. I closed the door with my key and walked upstairs where I found Demi leaving the room already)
Joe: you're leaving?
Demi: yes, my mom wants me to hang out with her
Joe: good (we walked downstairs and to the front door)
