Arlo woke up from his sleep and yawned.
"And he's awoken!" smiled grandpa, sitting at the kitchen table.
"No, I'm going back to sleep."
"No you aren't. It's your birthday! Your friends are waiting outside for you."
"They are?"
"Yep." Grandpa said as he bit into a plum.
"How long have they been waiting?"
"I'm not sure, actually. Go and ask yourself, kiddo."
Arlo walked over to the door and opened it to see his friends sitting on the ground, playing some game with their hands.
"Hey guys. What's up? Did grandpa really make you guys sit out here?" He asked, rubbing his eye.
"There's something we saw that I think you'll be interested in."
"What?"
They took him by the arm and dragged him toward the fields before he could ask more questions.
"What?"
Sara pointed to the woods, right on the outskirts of the village.
"There were knights out there!"
Arlo's eyes widened.
"What? Really? Where?"
"I'm not sure, but we saw a bunch of people in awesome shiny armor!"
"Let's go find them!" yelled Troy, enthusiastic as ever.
"Wait, but that could be dangerous!" Keith spoke quietly.
"You think everything is dangerous." Troy replied.
Keith didn't respond.
Troy started dashing towards the woods by himself.
"Wha- are you actually-?"
They all started running after him, and as they reached the outskirts of the woods, he froze.
"Hey... Stop... I can't breath!" Claire said inbetween pants.
"I see them!" Troy yelled, and he started to make his way toward them, puffing out his chest and trying to look cool.
The knights heard the noise and was looking around until they locked their eyes on him.
"Hey, boy! Where are we?" one asked as they approached Troy.
"Well hello there sir, you're on the outskirts of Mordana Village!" Troy was trying his best to look like he was a higher class. He really failed.
The knight in black armor looked back at the other knights.
"Get the boy!"
"Wha-?" Troy started backing up roward the field and the knights followed.
Arlo and his friends were still catching their breaths when they saw Troy running out.
"Huh?"
"Run! They're gonna get you!"
"Wha-?"
"I said run dude!"
They then saw the knights on their horses, quickly making their way towards them.
