Arlo woke up and felt a sharp pain in his left arm.

"Ack!" he yelled, and he sat up on a mat, gripping his arm.

He looked around to see where he was, his eyes needed to readjust.

He was in a rehabilitation, along with several other soldiers.

At the foot of his mat were his three best friends, Troy, Sara, and Keith.

"Oh gods!" Sara exclaimed. "You're okay!"

"What... happened?"

"We're unsure. Before you killed Ladron you had a blue aura surrounding you, with a strange symbol above your head. Right after you killed him, you... blacked out."

"For how long?"

"Three days."

"Three days? Woah..."

"Are you feeling alright?" an unrecognizable voice called.

He looked to see a girl standing up, facing him.

"A little dizzy, but I think I'm alright."

"Glad to see you're better! I'm Eunice, the commander of the archery branch. I was asked to bring you to the head of the command post."

She put out her arm to shake hands.

Arlo shook it.

"Uhh... okay?"

She walked out of the room.

Arlo stepped off of the mat and stood up.

Troy also stood up, but he had to use a walking stick and had bandages around his leg.

"Is your balance alright?" Asked Troy.

"Yeah. Thanks to the spells they use here, I feel like I'll heal in no time!"

"Alright. Let's head outside!"

"Sure!"

Arlo stepped outside and was blown away by the view.

There were hundreds of people outside near stands, selling fruit, furniture, and everything in between.

It was small, but there was still a lot of people there.

There was laughter and chatter in the air, a group of soldiers training, and everything in between.

It was like a festival.

"Woah..."

"I know, right? There's so much to do!"

Troy groaned and said, "No kidding. You should've seen Sara yesterday. She was going up and down the streets buying and trying on new stuff."

"Hey, it wasn't that bad."

"Yes it was." Keith mumbled.

"What was that?"

"Nothing!"

Arlo smiled at his friends. It was like the attack had never happened.
