Y/N POV:
I put a hand on my chest where my soul mark is. I search anxiously after my brother, as he just disappeared in front of my eyes. Our father, Stoick, had asked us to be co-chiefs. I objected, of course. So did Hiccup. He was certainly not ready to be a chief, and neither was I. But deep down, I knew at least one of us would become chief. I take a deep breath when I finally find him, mapping out the islands around us. I land with my nightfury beside him and let her play with toothless, her brother.
-So this is what you did to make me miss the dragon race, huh? I ask. Hiccup doesn't even look up.
-You know why I'm here, he says annoyed.
-Well, yes and no, I say and sit down beside him, but within a respectful distance.
I sigh as I look out over the small islands.
-What'd you call them...? I ask and bend over to see what he wrote. I smile and giggle.
-Itchy armpit? I ask and laugh. Hiccup chuckles.
-Toothless chose it, Hiccup says.

Suddenly I can hear a loud thump behind.
-So this is where you're hiding? I hear a voice say. Me and Hiccup turn to see Astrid jumó off of Stormfly, who is quick to join d/n and toothless' playing. She sits down on the other side of Hiccup and starts asking what happened. Hiccup the proceeds to tel her what happened. And I put my hand on my chest again.

I got the mark last summer. I got trapped on a dragon trapper boat and they pushed me for information on where the last nightfuries were. D/n and toothless, along with the other were able to escape, but they caught me. When I wouldn't talk, they burned me with this mark thing on my chest. And when it healed... it turned almost golden, and sometimes when my soulmate thinks of me, it shines. I see my chest light up slightly from my shirt and I smile slightly, before I see some smoke. I immediately stand up.
-What you're searching for is.... out there... I say and Hiccup and Astrid look up at me. I point to the black smoke and they follow my hand. They immediately stand up too and Hiccup and I share a concerned glance.

We fly towards the smoke and my mark glows again and I look down.
-Now is not really the time... I whisper, trying to stay low profile. I put my hand on the mark and nod, thinking of my soulmate too.
-Woah, I then hear Hiccup. I look up and I'm met with a giant ice pillar with spikes and pieces of wood sticking out of it.
-What could have done this...? I ask as we fly closer.
-stay close, Hiccup says and we circle around it.
We spot some big foot prints and our dragons start feeling uneasy.
-It's alright girl, it's alright..... I say quietly.

Suddenly I hear:
-Fire!
I immediately duck as a net is slung towards me. Many nets are swung towards us. Stormfly gets caught in one but Astrid jumps and gets caught by toothless. The dragon trappers run to hit Stormfly and  D/n drops for the ground and I jump off.
-Watch the tail! a man shouts and jumps onto Stormfly's face.
-Tie those legs up! He then says.
-Hey, stop that! I say, grabbing the flaming sword with the gas canisters that Hiccup made for me, and setting it aflame. I hear toothless and D/n charge and the man looks up to the sky.
-Is that what I think it is? he then asks. A couple of hunters see me and charge for me, but I block their hits with my sword, making the other back away. Toothless lands and Hiccup and Astrid jumó off of him. Hiccup sets his sword aflame too and Astrid grabs a nearby stick. I walk towards them.
-What are you doing? Astrid asks and looks concerned at Stormfly.
-Back again! The man on Stormfly cheers. He then looks at D/N and Toothless.
-Soil my bridges, he says astonished and stands up on Stormfly. I glare at him.
-And this is not only one, but TWO nightfuries! He says.
-I thought they were gone for good! He says and pats a nearby hunter on the shoulders. The hunter nods and chuckles.
-Looks like our luck had a turn for the better lads! He announces.
-I don't think Drago has one of those in his dragon army, he then says. Astrid almost bashes a hunter, but me and Hiccup hold her back.
-Dragon army? She then asks.
-Look, we don't want any trouble, Hiccup says.
-Hah! You should've thought of that before you stole our dragons and blasted our fort to bits! the man says and throws Stormfly's head onto the ground. The hunters agree angrily.
-What are you talking about? Astrid asks confused and I furrow my brows.
-You think we did this? I ask.
-Pfff, dragon trapping is already hard work as it is, the man says and step off of Stormfly.
-Without do-gooder dragon riders sneaking in to rescue them, the man says angrily.
-What do-gooder... Hiccup asks and look at me. Both our eyes open in realization of what he just said.
-You mean there's others? I ask.
-Other than your thieving friend from last night, I don't know, you tell me, the man says, getting angrier by the second.
-You May have an ice spitting dragon on your side, but we still have a quota to fill. So how do suppose we explain this mess to Drago Bludvist.
-Drago-What-fist? Hiccup asks amused and I lift one brow.
-Does anything you say make sense? I ask.

Another dragon hunter speaks up.
-He's expecting another shipment of dragons for his army by tomorrow, he says.
-And he doesn't take well to excuses, another hunter says. The man nods and lifts down his shirt to show off... a burn mark.
-This, is what he gave me last time I showed up empty handed, he says. Hiccup looks at me and I put a hand on my own mark, that was identical to his.
-He promised to be far less understanding in the future, he then says and his mark shimmers a bit gold, and so does mine. Hiccup immediately notices the glazed look in my eyes and tries to direct things into another path. The man covered up his mark before he could notice and Hiccup did not want him to use me.
-Look, we don't know anything about a dragon thief or an ice spitting dragon or your crazy lunatic boss and his dragon army. Just give us back our dragon and we'll leave... strange hostile person we've never met, Hiccup tries to negotiate. I hear the dragon hunters point their net shooters at us, making me return to my guarding position. The man chuckles, sending nasty shivers down my spine.
-Where are my manners, he says.
-I'm Eret, son of Eret, he says and bows slightly, putting a hand behind his back. I glare at him.
-Finest dragon trapper alive! He says and pulls out a sword from behind him. D/n growls and I put a hand on her snout to calm her slightly.

-After all, its not anybody that can catch a nightfury, he says and we lock eyes. A spark clicks between us, but his smirks only grows and he points the sword directly at me. My heart begins speeding. D/N and toothless hisses loudly.
-And he says we're leaving, Hiccup says and looks at me.
-Now, he says sternly. Eret chuckles.
-That's What they always say... Rush em lads! He then says. A bunch of hunters run at me from my side. I quickly block them with my sword, but they grab my foot and make me fall.
D/n then shoots a blast at a big ice spike, making it fall towards Eret. Eret runs off to not get hit and Astrid rushes to get Stormfly out of the net. Some hunters tie my feet tightly.

-Stormfly, C'mon, go, go! Astrid says and get onto Stormfly and lifts off of the ground. Hiccup gets onto Toothless, but notices that D/n is still fighting off hunters to get to me.
-Y/N! He shouts.
-No, Hiccup, leave! I shout as they tie my arms. D/n looks confused at me.
-Leave! I shout at her and she follows Astrid and Hiccup as I get tied up.
-You will never hold onto those dragons! You hear me!? Drago is coming for them all! Eret shouts after them as they fly away.

When I'm all tied up, a hunter walks up to Eret and pokes him on the shoulder.
-What!? Eret asks irritated.
-We got the girl, the hunter says. Eret looks over at me and smirks. He walks over and kneels beside my head and points the tip of his sword at me.
-Well, well, well, if it isn't the small, shy one, he says and scrapes his sword under my chin and tilts my head towards me. I struggle against it, but then he sees something at the top of my chest. He moves my shirt and uncovers the ugly truth... that he's my soulmate. His smirk falters and our marks shine once again. He looks down at his mark, before looking at me. His eyes then hardens and he removes his sword. He stands up and looks at the hunters.
-Load her onto the ship, but be gentle! He orders them, before looking down at me.
-Put her in the cage... she might not be as useless after all, he says sadly, and walks away. My jaw tenses up and I grab my mark again.
-Damn you, son of Eret... I whisper under my breath, before the hunters lift me onto the ship and sown I tot he dragon cage, which they lock before they take off.
