A couple of days later, almost at the dark clouds, Edmund POV:
We had set courses to the dark cave where it was said the green smoke was coming from.
Y/N had yet to tell me what she wanted to tell me that day on the ship. I finally gather the balls to ask, so I walk up to her.
-Y/N, darling... I start.
-Hmmm? She asks and stares with a scared gaze into the cave.
-I... we-you, I start but get cut off.
-Be on your feet sailors! We don't know what we'll meet in there... Caspian warns. I gulp and Y/N grabs my hand. My nerves were getting to me, so I squeeze her hand. She squeezes my hand back twice. I have a feeling that something is going to go terribly wrong.

-You don't own me! An old man on a rock yells.
-What? Lucy says. The man continues to yell.
-Edmund... shine your light over there, I say. Edmund takes his magical torch and lights it on the man.
-Caspian look! It's the sword! Edmund says and I look at the man closely.
-It's one of the lords! I say. Caspian stands beside me.
Eustace swoops the lord up and puts him carefully down on the ship.
The lord starts swinging with his sword around him.
-No my lord! You are alright! It's me, your king, Caspian, Caspian says and the man stops.
-We got the sword. Now let's get out of here, Edmund says and puts a hand protectively around my waist.
-No! You can't leave! It's too late! The lord insists.

And boy was he right.

Y/N POV:
-Edmund! Behind you! I shout as the giant sea serpent strike the boat again. Edmund jumps out of the way just as it was striking.
-Thanks love, he breathes. I was with the sailors, trying to hold the sea serpent in one place, and failing miserably. Water and sweat is covering out bodies and our muscles are aching, but it was all for Narnia. The serpent finally rips the ropes and I fly backwards.
-Y/N! I can hear Edmund shout from the mast.
-No, save Narnia! I've got this! I say as I force myself up again, pulling the ropes that's left with the other.
-C'mon boys! Pull! I shout. I watch as Edmunds sword turns blue.
-Do it Edmund! Caspian shouts. But Edmund is staring at something... at her...
-Edmund snap out of it! Now! I shout as water splashes over me once again. Edmund turns to the sea serpent and the sea serpent charges for Edmund but Edmund shives the glowing sword up the serpents mouth. The serpent screeches a deafening sound before it finally falls down to the bottom of the ocean. I breathe heavily and sit down in exhaustion. And I look up... and a ray of sun hits my face.
-Lucy... I say as she walks past me and I tug on her sleeve. She looks down at me and I just point up at the sun rays that are poking out through the thick black fog.
-Edmund! Lucy sounds.
-Look! She says before I stand up and stare in awe at the gorgeous blue sky.

Edmund quickly climbed down and we all watch as Gale and her father reunite with her mother. Then suddenly we all hear:
-Lucy! Lucy I'm in the water!
Lucy walks to the other side of the boat. Me and Edmund share a confused look before following her.
-Eustace! She says. I smile at the brave boy in the water below us. Reepicheep joins us and jumps in the water with him. They splash in the water before I hear:
-It's sweet! The water is sweet! Reep laughs and looks up at us. I sigh and look Edmund. He looks confused at me.
-Well... I'm already drenched, I say and look down at my halfway torn and wet clothing.
-And I'm not getting any younger, I say. Edmund chuckles and shakes his head confusion. I smile before charging for the edge of the boat.
-Look out cause here I come! I shout before splashing into the water. When I reach the surface I let out a victory shout. I hear all of the crew laughing at me and Edmund smiling down at me. Then I turn around.
-Look! It's Aslans country! I shout and point.
-Well, we've come this far... Caspian says. Edmund shakes his head in amusement.

Later:
We've changed into new fresh clothes, and we're sailing in a row boat the last way to the beach of Aslans country. Beautiful flowers majestically float on the surface of the water.
Eustace told us about when Alsan changed him back from a dragon to a human.
-I do think I was a better dragon than a boy, really, he says.
-Well... you were but, you're a great boy too, Edmund says. Eustace chuckles.
-And Y/N, I'm sorry for treating you... like I did. It wasn't alright, he says and looks at me. I'm sitting beside him.
-It's alright Eustace... you've changed, I say and pat him on the arm.

We dock at the beach and we all walks towards the wall of water. Then Eustace turns.
-Aslan, he says, and we all turn. And there he was in his full glory.
-Is this your country? Edmund asks.
-No. it's what lies beyond this. That is my country, Aslan says.
-Is my father in your country? Caspian asks.
-You will only know if you go there by yourself, child, Aslan says. Caspian walks towards the wall and touches the water for a moment. Before turning back and standing beside Edmund again.
-You're not going? I ask.
-No. I don't think my father would be so happy if I focused too much on what was taken away from me then what I was given... and I was giving a kingdom. And I wanna be a good king, Caspian says.
-You already are, Aslan says.

*Lets skip the heartbreaking part when Reep leaves*

-We're not coming back? Lucy asks, crying and petting Aslan.
-You have grown up child, Aslan explains. A tear falls from my cheek as I look at Edmund.
Edmund looks back at me and embraces me tightly.
When he lets me go, Aslan roars and opens a portal in the water. Edmund pulls me in for a slow kiss before letting go. He puts a hand on my cheek before slowly walking away. I look to Aslan, who nods.

-Actually... Edmund? I say as they are halfway there. The pevensies turn to me and Edmund looks the most confused. Tears are running down his cheeks. I walk up to him and dry his tears.
-Remember... remember that I wanted to have a talk with you? I ask. Ed nods.
-Yeah? He asks. I look at his eyes. The tears are glistening in the sun. I inhale sharply and turn to Aslan.
-I want to go with you... to your world, I explain and his eyes open widely.
-I want to be with you... forever, wherever that might be, I say as tears begin falling.
-God, I love you Edmund, I explain. He puts his hands on my cheeks.
-Honey... are you sure? Ed asks. I nod and smile at him. Then I turn to Aslan.
-Can I make a request? I ask and walk up to him.
-Wait, what is happening? Lucy asks.
-Edmund, Lucy asks again. Ed just smiles like an idiot.
-May I go with my love- I mean, Edmund, I slip up and giggle and look at Ed. He chuckles. I look back at Aslan.
-May I join Edmund to his world? To fall in love with the new world? To get married? I ask.
Aslan chuckles happily and nods, before breathing at me. A wave of comfort hits me, as I thank Aslan by bowing. Then I laugh giddily and run at Ed and kiss him. He holds me tenderly before he takes my hand.
-You're coming with!? Lucy asks happily.
I nod as tears won't stop flowing down my cheek.
-Let's go then love, Ed says and we walk hand in hand towards the portal.
-Will I ever come back? Eustace asks. We stop and look at him.
-In due time, Aslan says. We smile as we continues to walk.
Then we get engulfed by water. And when we get to the surface, we're sitting in a strange room and water is sipping into a painting that looks very Narnian. Ed smiles at me before taking the painting and hanging it up. We all just sit silently in the room for a while.
-Well... now I can actually buy you a ring, Ed asks and I giggle and peck his lips.
-You sure can, I giggle.

-Eustace! Eustace did you bring Y/N for studying again!? His mother asks. Wait. How did I know it's Eustaces mother?
-I think my mind has already made a life for me here, I say shocked and the other smile in recognition.
-Us too... Lucy says and laughs.
-But you're still my fiancé... can't change that, Ed says.
-No you can't, I reassure.
-Oh... we've got to tell Susan and Peter about this, Eustace says excitedly.
-Well, we're supposed to be studying anyways... what do you say my lady of Cair Paravel? Ed jokes.
-Well of course, let's go "study", I say and grab his hand as I now, from my new "memories" guide my way through Eustaces him and grab my bag and we sit down and write a letter together.

And the following months were spent with me always joining the pevensies after school. And when the war finally was over, Edmund proposed to me with a really fancy ring, and brought me back home with him to meet his parents. I met Peter and Susan again.
And I couldn't wait for what would be next...

Child or marriage?
