Getting the Journal

Days had passed, Ginny and Pansy could not find a way to destroy a horcrux other than killing the source. This also made Ginny sad because Harry was a horcrux too. Two people they cared about would soon be gone because of Voldemort.

Y/n's dark side had finally gone away for a bit. Y/n learned that when she thought about the things she cared for most, she was stronger than her dark side. She was able to overcome it, just for a bit.

She knew with Voldemort's horcrux's out there he was still strong. Y/n had to find a way to get the journal again, but she couldn't even remember the last place she had seen it. She vaguely remembered writing in the journal where Tom would reply to her. She tried her hardest to think about the last place it was left at, but it was almost like that specific memory was wiped away.

While Y/n tried to figure out a plan for the journal, Ginny and Pansy were trying to find ways to keep both Harry and Y/n alive. They had spent many days together at the library. Pansy even slept over Ginny's room trying to continue to find a way to save them. They both found out the only way to save someone was with a resurrection stone, which was impossible to find.

Y/n tried her hardest to remember the memories she had with the journal. All she could remember was writing to Tom and the journal suddenly disappearing.

She did start to wonder about the day Draco had brought her into the dorms. Both Pansy and Draco asked her questions, but she had no idea what they were even talking about. Y/n grabbed a paper and her quill and quickly wrote to Draco.

Draco,

I miss you incredibly. I wish I could be with you. I learned how to control my dark side, I think about our happiest memories and she goes away. I'm writing to you because I have a question. The day you and Pansy asked me questions that day in my dorm room. And I had no idea what the both of you were talking about, where did you find me? I really need to know please write to me as soon as possible. Take care of yourself and I love you.

Y/n

Rolling the parchment paper and placing it on her owl, it left in a hurry. She needed answers quickly if she wanted to save her loved ones. If she could find the journal, she could finally destroy one of her fathers horcrux's – weakening him.

Hours later and Screech appeared on the window ledge. Y/n quickly got up from her bed and went over getting the letter.

Y/n,

I miss you dearly I wish you could be here with me. You make everything better. As for your question, I found you in some sort of chamber? It was in the prefects bathroom, there was an opening in the sinks, but that's all I can remember. Please be careful, you don't know what he's capable of.

With love,
DM.

"Holy shit," Y/n breathed out, she could finally recall some things from that day. She remembered how Tom appeared in her dreams asking her for a favor. Could Tom have put some spell on her where she couldn't remember a thing? Why would he do that to her?

Grabbing a sweater she ran down to the common room in search of the head girl of her year, Millicent. She had never really spoken to her before, maybe a couple times when they had classes. Y/n only hoped she was kind enough to tell her the password for the bathroom.

Millicent was reading a book alone at a small table. From the last conversation they had, she was very kind, so maybe this would be easy for Y/n.

"Hi," Y/n smiled at her as she sat across her. "Oh, Y/n right?" Millicent asked and Y/n nodded. "This is kind of an odd request, but you're head girl right?" Millicent closed her book, "Yes, why?" She asked suspiciously. "Well I accidentally left my towel there, the Ravenclaw head boy let me inside for a bath, I just wanted to go in there to grab it, that's all." Y/n lied through her smile. Millicent shrugged, "I suppose I can give you the password this one time, it's strawberry fields." She smiled at Y/n. "Thank you so much!" Y/n beamed getting up from the chair and out the door.

Speed walking to the prefects bathroom, she reached the door, "Strawberry fields." The doors opened and Y/n sighed in relief. Instantly Moaning Myrtle came to her, "You again? Why are you here?" Y/n furrowed her eyebrows, "Again? Why was I here the first time?" Myrtle flew towards the sinks, "You opened the chamber just like that other boy did. He brought something evil to this school. Are you here to open it again? I hope you aren't!" Y/n walked towards Myrtle who seemed disturbed, "Of course not, I just can't remember what happened that day. All I know is I left my journal in there and I need to get it back, can you help me?" Myrtle giggled, "You spoke in a funny language, do you really not remember?"

Y/n looked around the sinks, nothing was coming into her mind. She felt so stupid and devastated. Why was it so hard for her to get her memory back?

She suddenly stopped in her tracks when she saw the small snake symbol. It looked so familiar. She placed her finger on it, tracing the engraved snake.

"Why do you look so familiar? Why are you so captivating?" She spoke to the small snake. Myrtle looked at her with wide eyes, "You're doing it again, you're speaking funny." Y/n paid no attention to her, it was like the snake and her were the only ones in that bathroom.

"I am his blood, let me inside." She told the symbol, but it didn't move. The sinks stayed exactly in there place. "Wait, blood..." She whispered to herself. She grabbed her wand casting a small cutting spell on her finger.

She placed her bloody finger on the snake again, "I am a Riddle, let me inside." The small snake began to move, finally the sinks opened up. Showing the small pathway she went in once before.

Having a sense of familiarity, Y/n didn't hesitate to jump in. With a small fall, she quickly got up casting a lumos spell with her wand. She walked slowly and cautiously into the chambers. The deeper she walked into the chamber, her memory slowly began to arise. Finally reaching the door, she noticed it was open. She walked inside instantly getting deja vu. She remembered everything. She remembered how Tom tricked her into going into the chamber, to save his precious journal. Y/n believed everything that came out of his mouth, she trusted him – just for Tom to use her.

"Where's the journal?" She asked herself. She knew Draco didn't get the journal, no one could have. So why wasn't it in the same spot Y/n left it at?

She walked deeper into the chamber, it was cold and quite dark. She wondered how Tom discovered this place and why? "Stop getting distracted find the stupid journal," Y/n told herself.

She knew her father wasn't dumb, of course he would do anything to hide the journal from anyone, but how? Y/n sighed through her nose, "Of course! Of course he'd do that!" She grabbed her wand again, "A perfect way to hide a journal is to not make it seen. The journal has a disillusionment charm on it!"

She flicked her wand towards the ground, the charm on the journal finally began to fade. The same black journal Y/n wrote on, was now visible. She quickly grabbed it and ran out of the camber. She needed to get this to Harry, but it was impossible. Every death eater was on the look out for him, he was practically a wanted man.

Y/n knew deep down inside she wasn't capable of destroying a horcrux. Even if she was very powerful, she needed an stronger object to destroy them. And Harry had those objects, he could destroy them.

Running frantically into the Great Hall in search of Pansy or Ginny, Y/n didn't lose her grip on that book. She looked over at the Gryffindor table noticing both of them were sitting together. She walked towards them slightly out of breath, "Guys! I found it!" Both girls looked at Y/n confused, "Found what?" Pansy asked her as she took another bite of her apple. Y/n sat beside them looking to both her sides, so no one could hear her. "I found his other horcrux. Now we need to figure out how to destroy it." Both girls looked at her dumbfounded, both thinking how in Merlin's name they are going to destroy it. "Ginny," Y/n began, "Harry can destroy it, he has the objects too. We just have to figure out how to give it to him."

Both Pansy and Ginny nodded, "I can owl him tonight, but I'm not sure if he will come because you know..." She sighed thinking about everyone looking for him. Y/n nodded, "I'm going to keep the book tonight, no one will dare to steal it from me. If for some miracle Harry makes contact with you let me know as soon as possible. My father needs to be destroyed, even if it means I'm going down with him."
