LILY was the first one to break the prolonging silence that reeked throughout the room.
"Kristina... I know this is just a game, but that could really break my brother's heart. You know how he feels about Thalia. I-If he ever finds out that Thalia is just playing around with him, he will be crushed," Lily said.
"Everyone has feelings, including James. He may be something else, but he really does. I mean... if Thanos can have feelings too, so can James," Rose added.
"Who the hell is Thanos?" Thalia asked, perplexed at the reference.
"You've never heard of Marvel? Like the Avengers-the movie series. I mean... I get it's a Muggle thing but come on! Nothing about Charli D'Amelio, the Renegade, and Tiktok?" Rose asked, appalled, as Thalia shook he head in confusion. "Oh dear, you are very uncultured."
"Not all of us actually have proper access to the muggle world like your mum does, Rose," Kristina chuckled. "I would definitely love to know more about this Thanos guy, though."
"It's about this purple guy-he reminds me of a grape by the way-and he is a single dad who wants to complete his rock collection. Then he ends up killing half of the population," Rose explained.
"Sounds epic. You're showing me this movie thing," Kristina said.
"Okay enough about the grape guy! My brother's feelings are more important as of now! Are you sure you want to take up the date, Thalia?" Lily asked.
"I-uh..." Thalia stuttered.
"We never back down from a dare, Thals," Kristina pressed.
"Fine..." Thalia said reluctantly.
"Are you sure, Thalia?" Lily asked, worriedly as she pursed her lips. "James could get really hurt... and-and I cant imagine what I'd do if e were hurt."
"It's okay, Lily. We promise we won't hurt your brother," Kristina reassured. "It'll be nothing big. Maybe just a date or two then Thalia will break it off."
"I still don't like this dare," Lily scowled.
"Neither do I," Rose agreed.
"Maybe this will finally get James off of Thalia's back though!" Kristina said.
"But what if it doesn't? What if this whole date ends up tearing James' heart apart instead," Rose shot back.
"Rose is right. This whole date could really backfire," Lily said.
"Thals, you have been awfully quiet. What is your opinion on this?" Kristina asked.
"I think that erm... let's do it," Thalia said, "I promise not to hurt him, Lily and Rose."
"Promise?" The two cousins said.
"I do," Thalia nodded.
"Alright then, it's set. Mission Thalia Scamander plays James Potter is now set and ready to go!" Kristina cheered as the other three girls look around nervously at each other.
"I have a really bad feeling about this."
