Kimi's POV

Light danced across my closed eyelids painting the blackened stretch behind my eyes in varying shades of red. I knew I had to go to work today but I couldn't will myself to move just yet from the early morning silence and the soft sheets against my skin. For a moment the world around me didn't matter. I felt like I was floating in a warm cloud of blankets and the sound of my breathing seemed to fade into the quite around me. As I basked in this early morning quiet the events of last night began to slowly creep back into my mind and I felt myself smile only to grow concerned when I didn't feel Keigo beside me.

I stared out at the blank space beside me and felt the still warm sheets. Guess he's in the bathroom or something? A few of his feathers were littered around my usually neat room, like little reminders of last night's activities. I smiled to myself and stretched out starfish style on the warm bed breathing in the heat he had left. As much as I love him next to me nothing beats sprawling out on my bed.

"Someone looks happy!" I heard from the doorway. Looking up I saw a smiling Keigo with two steaming mugs of tea in hand. His hair was far messier than I had ever seen it, flopping down over his forehead and masking his signature eyebrows. He wore nothing but red boxers with little white chickens printed on them and I felt myself snort slightly at the sight.

"Well I have a handsome hero bringing me tea so how can I not be happy?" I smiled back sitting up and feeling the blankets fall down around my waist. Keigo's eyes flashed to my chest in a second before I pulled my blanket back up to cover myself and stuck my tongue out at his playfully.

"Hey mister, eyes up here!" I laughed shaking off multiple red feathers from my dressing gown before putting it on, still a little flushed with embarrassment.

"You weren't saying that last night." He grinned kissing my cheek lightly and handing me the tea cup, before sitting down beside me and playing with my hair.

"I love your bed head," he smiled and I couldn't help but chuckle back and lean into his touch. It was such a simple thing to say but he said it in such a genuine tone that I felt myself smile at his sweetness.

"I love your chicken boxers ... very macho." I grinned back sipping my hot tea happily.

"I knew you would! Yeah, it takes a real man to wear chicken boxers!" He smiled. His voice was deeper in the mornings, and it made my stomach flip a little.

"Hey, umm last night ... last night was amazing songbird." He smiled his cheeks going red as he tapped his fingers awkwardly on his mug.

"Aww is the famous Keigo Takami flustered?" I teased moving closer to him and nudging his shoulder with mine playfully. He rested his head against my shoulder and placed a delicate kiss upon it. How can he be so cute?! Damn this handsome chicken! I moved my hand up to run my fingers through his hair as he hummed happily, his feathers puffing up slightly.

"What time is it?" I asked sadly remembering that I had to work today.

"It's 6:30 so I'd say we have plenty of time before we have to leave songbird" he said pecking my lips multiple times and rubbing circles on my hips with his thumbs. I felt myself shiver at the contact and continued to run my fingers through his hair.

"Not that I'm complaining but what's with the new nickname?" I asked as Keigo littered soft kisses along my neck.

"Well because last night you sang my name when I..." Keigo trailed off his lips smirking against my skin as I stiffened embarrassed at his words.

"Keigooooo!" I whined embarrassed hiding my face with my hands.

"Mmm I remember you saying that a lot too" he smirked and I slapped the back of his head playfully.
