Paul's Point Of View

I stopped and looked at my stunning soulmate, questions flooding my head. If she did not know how to swim then why did she cliff dive that night. Was she attempting suicide? No. She couldn't possibly attempt suicide. I had to know what made her jump. Yes, she is a badass independent woman who is brave and beautiful. Humble, kind and generous. Alexandra could get anything she wanted, all she had to do was speak a few sweet words or give a death glare. A bashful tilt of her head would make anyone melt. So what troubled her to that extent?

"Why did you jump that night?" I asked. Intensity rolling of me. She looked down with hesitation. "Were you attempting suicide?" He head snapped up and she looked at me honestly before saying "No!"

"Then why?" I asked. She grabbed my hand tighter before letting it lose again. "I had been walking on the road meaning to reach the beach but instead I reached the cliffs. I joked to Mandy that I might go for a swim and when I saw the deep water below me, fear engulfed me. Then my grandmother came in my head telling me what she always told me - 'Never fear a thing love, you have the courage to do it all. I don't know what happened and I just jumped and honestly I was fine until a huge wave pushed me down when I wanted to draw a breath. And then I went unconscious and luckily you saved me." She tugged on my hand and looked into my eyes. I could tell she was not telling the whole truth but I was okay with it. I respected her privacy. "Now you'll never fear the water." I smiled at her before lifting her up in my arms and running chest deep into water.

She adjusted herself and put her hands on my shoulders. I wanted nothing more that to just close my eyes and feel Al's hands on my body but we had more important things at hand. "I can't learn how to swim in a day. You are not that good of a teacher, but I just need to feel normal in the water, so I am hoping you can help me with that...." She said unsurely. "False." I said. "False?" Lexi asked. "I am a great teacher." I said as I loosened my grip at her waist and let her go whereas she said "No, no, no" and tightened her hold on my shoulders. "Trust me." I spoke and looked into her hazel eyes. Her hands relaxed and she floated away without harm. I smiled to myself.
